Yao got ass-ravaged by the officiating crew in this game.

But then again, this is always the case whenever Leroy Richardson is making the calls.

Sura throwing it up did look bad but I agree it was Tmac's fault. Everyone just stood around..then Sura got ball with 3 seconds first time..he tried drawing a foul and didn't get it..then second time I don't know what the heck happened..we definitely could have run a better play with Yao and Tmac more involved.

Yeah Yao could knock down tons of jumpers if we did that.

And Tmac well he's injured/tired..and we know he can drain jumpers..but sometimes I think he should attack the basket even more..especially since this team sucks..but wow today I noticed Tmac's legs are really thin..but maybe he's tired..doesn't want to get hurt. He does draw fouls though when he goes in. And Yao can get more involved too...

For some reason the Rockets are good at scrambling lol. I like it..spontaneous ball loose hustle to get it.

    T-mac is a wow.

Mutombo is amazing, so are Barry and Bowen.

Sura contributes, but he sucks overall.

Wesley shoot out of his slump, but he is still a too streaky shooter.

Yao is effective in the first minutes, but his teammates ignored him too much on offensive end; in the fourth quarter, yao is tentative, and playing under the bar on both ends.

A lucky win, and a weird win imo.

its a phrase from one of my favorites triumph the insult dog he is a hilarious character and i always enjoyed watching him so its sort of a tribute to him. i do agree with you on the team contributions but you cant expect role players to excel at all times without struggling from time to time

Tough loss. Good comeback though. Sucks that Amare fouled out. He would have dunked that one. Hunter's not as good.

That pissed me off. Nash looked winded tonight, and I think he ran out of gas on that last shot. Hunter though, come on man you had that @#$%& dunk. I couldn't believe he missed that easy dunk. I think Nash should have passed to someone else, but Hunter gotta work on his offense that was his chance right there to be a hero and he blew it.

Mussberger was obviously pro Suns. But I think Tolbert was pretty much neutral. He did point out numerous times that the Suns are an extremely streaky team. And I think he handled that question of who he would rather draft (Amare or Yao) pretty good (saying it depends what kind of team you want to put together).

Deke was a momentum changer this game, he played extremely well, and we made our run in the 3rd with him on the floor the entire time. Yao (whether it was foul trouble or not) did not have a good game. The Rockets won this game, pretty much, without Yao playing a central role in the outcome. But that just tells you how well we played throughout the game. Our defense was OUTSTANDING, I really liked what I saw out there.

That is why, ladies and gents, defense wins championships. And that is why players like Deke are so invaluable to a team like ours.

    GO ROCKS!

    read the other forum.

    They just hate us.

They don't want to face us in the playoffs. Some posters said they better hurt TMAC or they don't see the Suns beating Houston in the playoffs.

They don't want us to get the 8th seed. :D

    My thought exactly ...

I don't like Sure's decision with the last in-bound play though --- Suns is down by 1 and 15 seconds. They need to foul to stop the clock. Isn't it better to keep passing the ball among your best FT shooters? But Sure decided to dribble ... fortunately Nash somehow didn't fould till 5 seconds later (which looks exactly like the dubm play Arizona had against Illinois in the Final 8 game).

Sura also needs to control his temper ... what's up with that slamming the ball at the end of 1Q? It does nothing positive to the team.

JVG should always have DW bringing up the ball in foul situations, he is clutch at the FT line. Sura is liable to blow his FTs like he did tonight, he is a below average FT shooter. He did make that last second shot to close out the 2nd, so lets not forget that.

Good win, but do we have anybody beside T-Mac that can take it to the hole. We definitely have to get younger and more athletic next season.

    LOL! Yah.

BTW, does ANYONE know what Deke eats? Or how he often he works out, etc.? Dude is CUT man! I don't think there is a single fat in his body, he is just sharp-edges bones and muscles!

Does this guy EVER age?!!!! Not that I am complaining, btw.;)

The main Suns forum is phxsuns.net. You can read their comments on Hunter for yourself. They are pretty rough on him.

I did not see the game so can someone answer me this: Did the Suns look tired (especially Nash)? If so, my prediction may come true: Their team will suffer in the playoffs because Nash always wears down and the heavy minutes played by their top 6 all year will come back to haunt them.

I also think in a 7 game series, teams will study the film of their games with the Rockets and will devise schemes to slow them down. Looking at the box score, the Rockets held them to 33 points total in quarters 2 & 3. Incredible!

There was that one part where Nash was seated on the floor looking really tired.

No the ydid not look tired. Amare is an amazing athlete..Hunter is too. Nash looked pretty fine to me. Mike James and Ryan Bowen play good defense on him. His shot was short tonight so that mayb esign of fatigue. But I mean..Joe Johnson and Q Rich and Jimy Jackson just stand there..so I mean..they shouldn't be that tired. Marion is just crazy..he's like Richard Hamilton just can go on and on..I really like Marion.

Anyways I think you're right about other teams studying Rockets. Rockets do have weaknesses and they can be exploited. But really I can imagine Tmac exploding M-V-P style
