You know LOF stands for "Lin Only Fan" right? That means somebody who is only a fan of Jeremy Lin and not of the team.
I just watched the game. Lin actually played really good defense on Dragic in the 4th. Dragic got 4 points off intentional fouls. He had a really nice hard drive but the ref missed an offensive foul (he pushed off). He hit 2 long jumpers off the dribble. He hit one off a pick and roll where the guy guarding the screener let him shoot a long two. Really...Dragic played fine but Lin had a hand in his face the whole time. LOHs are pretty dumb.
Nope..But I've seen something the same from other sites...Isn't our Offense "free-flowing"? meaning, test the defense and whoever gets open should take the shots..it's what I've been seeing most of the time...
With 3 days of rest and practice then playing at home with the fact that the Rockets will come out of the gates focused on revenge? I highly doubt they're gonna lose that game. Actually, expect a blowout aka good old fashioned ass whipping.
I agreed with you. What's your problem? Lin had a horrible game and we should bench him. Parsons was great recently so he gets a pass, Lin's been terrible the past month or two so he doesn't get a chance. What's the deal?
yeah I know that..been here too long..I'm a Jeremy Lin fan first and foremost and nothing to be ashamed of... I have biases on him since it was him who made me root for the Rockets..I don't really believe that LOF's are not a Rockets fan...those select few are not Lin fans but trolls pretending to be Lin fans who takes joy in creating negativity against Lin fans... And sometimes, we might have to understand also that most Lin fans are women ( teenage women at that ) so they are quite fanatic...But I really don't believe that those fans are here in the GARM..they were all out in twitter and facebook..lol...
I hope you're right but this team is so darn inconsistent. The teams you expect them to win, they lose. The teams you expect them to lose, they win.
Sucks losing to a team that's under .500 but Utah and GSW lost tonight so all is well. Hopefully they come out for revenge on Wednesday.
Yeah the ups and downs can be frustrating but we gotta remind ourselves of the bigger picture and that's gaining experience and building chemistry along the way for this young team who is essentially on their first year of rebuilding. As i've pointed out in the other threads, a team this young and inexperienced shouldn't even normally be in this position we're in right now. Just take a team like the Hornets for example. They're pretty similar to us. Talented, young, and inexperienced but look at the glaring difference from where they're at right now. They're on pace to finish with the worst record in the west. Rockets on the other hand are basically a lock in the playoffs and currently battling for the 6th seed. When all is said and done this season and i cannot stress this enough, gaining playoff experience would be priceless for a young team like us on our first season together. It doesn't matter if we bow out in the first round because frankly, we're not even one of the championship contenders yet. Our main goal right now is to make the playoffs, keep building chemistry, and gain experience from it. This is exactly the reason why we have preached the word "Patience". We have a great group of young talent and finally having that franchise player in Harden plus the fact that we possess that maximum cap space coming into the off-season. As fans, we are so fortunate to be part of this.
Pls don't mention practice.... each time they practiced they lost afterwards Those took longer to sink in!
I was there. It was painful. If you heard anyone yell, "JOEY, YOU SUCK!!!" during the exchange with MChale, that was me. I sat 5 rows behind Air Bull.
This wasn't directed at me, but I gotta respond. You've been one of the most vocal supporters of Lin on this board. I've had to sift through countless posts of you complaining how Lin was being unfairly attacked and treated. Whenever there was a whiff of a criticism on Lin, you've had his back. So it's a bit surprising and amusing to read some of your posts in this thread, such as this one: Have you turned to the dark side?
Rockets are 7-3 with two days rest this year and 3-2 with 3 days rest. http://www.nbastuffer.com/2012-2013_NBA_Regular_Season_Rest_Days_Stats.html they'll be fine
If you think the team is as bad as you think they are, then why are we just 1 game behind the 6th seed after having one of the most difficult schedules in the first half of the season in the NBA? The fact that this team is 4 games above .500 after the grueling first up until the middle part of the season schedule-wise tells us a lot how good this team is. I understand your doubts and frustrations but lets not forget to give em credit for what they've accomplished so far this season. Weaker teams would've easily be lottery bound by now. Have faith.
Different opponents and situations as well. With only 18 games left in the season and currently battling for playoff positions, 3 days of rest and practice would only prove to be so useful. I'd take 2-3 days of rest at home than playing back to back road games any day and it's not even close.
They could use the break to practice running/defending PnR. It's night and day when you watch how Warriors and Suns run their PnR as opposed to the Rockets do.
