vspan plays 40+ minutes and erases Nash from existence :D :D :D

nah I'm just joking ....... but that will really happen!!

Tough game for the Rox good playoff practice. 50-50 chance to win or loose game can go either way.

Rox need to beat Phoenix...it would be a huge win...

    My prediction

    HTOWN wins by 2

    104-102
Yao gets dunked over by Amare

Yao 22 points, and only 2 rebounds
    Luther 20 points, 2 assists
    Tracy 32 point, 6 rebounds, 8 assists...and GW shot

what channel is the game on tonight? I MUST WATCH! Need to see what T-Mac and Yao at their best can do.

key to winning is not to have too many turnovers and offensive rebounding.

    One more thing...

If JVG sticks with the normal defensive rotations we will not win.....the Rockets have to guard the perimeter players....and don't let them bomb away uncontested.

Do NOT double team Nash...let him score as many as he can....make the rest of the team stand idly by....and the Rockets have a chance.

If we stick with the normal pack it in approach we won't have an ice cubes chance in hell of beating them.

We could move into the 4th seed if we can win 12 in row like Dallas, but I do not think we will win the tonight game. We are not that great.

DO NOT pack the paint v. this team. they shoot the 3s really well. have yao and hayes guard their man STRAIGHT UP. do not double team too much. if so, we're screwed. we can defend them man to man b/c they're not great individual offensive players, including amare.

we HAVE to let nash score. but it's hard to do that b/c he uses the pick and roll a lot and we have to trap him or else it will put yao in danger w/ fouls.

again tmac needs to dominate. yao has to somehow get amare in foul trouble and put them in teh penalty.

Suns will double or triple Yao every time when he gets the ball. The key is other people have to make the shots, otherwise, the game is going to be tough.

Rockets will need to play crazy D on the perimeter, which has been their weakness all season. Phoenix will go nutz on the 3pt arc if the Rox don't play perimeter defense, or Phoenix just has to have a terrible shooting night (not likely).

On offense the Rox can't be too predictable...i.e. Yao in the post, Pass out, 3pt shot. Tracy still has to be the focal point of the offense, roaming around like he has been doing. I like a mix in of post ups in spurts but cant rely on it too much as it is too easy to disrupt, especiall with Yao not fully recovered.

I think the Rockets know what to expect are are beaming with confidence. They are going to come out and shock all the critics with a huge upset win.

    Phoenix: 94

Everyone seems to say the Suns are a bad matchup for the Rockets but I don't see it, Yao will dominate Amare in the post both on offense and defense, Alston just needs to cover Nash all game and stop him playing.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets pulled this one out of the bag, they only lost by 9 points when the Rockets last played the Suns and that was without Tmac and Yao, with both of them in there tonight, it will certainly be alot more difficult for the Suns to get the grove on.

    100% wrong strategy......

Let Nash score....do NOT let Nash set up his teamates for easy scores.

If Nash scores 40+ and the rest of the starters have single digits you win.

    Prepare for glory clutchfan warriors,

T-mac and co. would rather die than losing to the phoenix suns.
prediction: rockets win in a blowout tonight, and jvg gets some more action from mrs.gundy afterward, and cluchfans get a win. everyone is happy.

PS. While I want to win this game, I don't think it is all that important to win it, or to send a message.

We are in the 5 spot in the Western conference......let's get everyone healthy and playing at a high level.

And, don't give away too much as to how you would play the Suns in the playoffs.

At this point in the season, it is a game of chess.

We can beat the Suns, and it's tonight.

Suns will take bad shots. Most impotantly, we dont get in shooting contest against them. Take our time, let Yao and Tmac operate. Play our pace and let them react. They dont have a go-to scheme, so if we can keep them in control, the odds are in our favor.

Man I hate playing the suns. The only reason suns are a bad matchup for us is that if they dictate the tempo and run like crazy, Yao can't keep up. It's not his fault, but someone that size just doesn't have the stamina to run non stop like that. If we can dictate the tempo then Yao will dominate. Phoenix can win against us in a half court game, but always blow us out if they run.
