He is a tmac hater that's why. He claims to be an insider, but has said numerous times that tmac is selfish and that he has a bad attitude. Yet JVG has always said tmac is the most unselfish player he's ever coached.

I can answer that. Tracy McGrady doesn't know how to box out. On numerous occasions he let Shawn Marion squirm around him and get the offensive board (he had 7 of their 10 offensive rebounds). For our team to be successful against the Suns, we need to work a hell of a lot harder than we did. Chuck Hayes was successful against them because he worked his tail off. McGrady -- he was settling for those damn 20 footers most of the game. Similar to when we played them in November. The results are predictable. What really annoyed me was all the quick jump shots we were taking in transition. Absolutely no attempt on our part to slow the pace of the game down. Man, losses like this really drive me nuts. Losing to Atlanta or Toronto, I can handle. But when we lose to Phoenix, Dallas, or San Antonio I go crazy.
Unfornuately and obviously, JVG'S defense schemes don't work for suns and mavs. We lost because of our defense instead of offense.

Yeah it's more like JVG would be nothing without tmac and would be back on tnt if not for him. No tmac last year and rockets miss the playoffs. JVG is such a terrible coach.
well, when you are down by ten and you have a guy named rafer as PG who shoots up shots with 20 seconds left to go, with a man in his grill, all you can do is shrug
I can agree that he does make mistakes but to call for freaking mike dunleavy is idiotic. My point was in reference that he has everyone in a postion to make plays defensively every night. It is the Phoenix suns though, nobody can stop them. People make it like they dont do this to everyone. The rockets got beat tonight because of poor offense. The problem is the suns plan was to take away tmac and yao. Rafer could not hit crap. Shane was not getting any looks. We basically let them take away our two best players. However, if tmac or yao played even decent we might have won the game.

I think it has more to do with the fact that the Warriors own the Mavericks worse than the Suns own us. That would be hilarious Mavericks and Warriors in the first round. LOL.
You just proved my point. Phoenix is a great team with superb athletes. Normally we overcome tmac not doing crap on defense because everyone covers for him.
