The post game interview is the Joke that everyone expected it to be....

JVG has a totally confused look on his face, and seems to be OK with the fact that until the middle of the 4th we "were kind of hanging in there."

Doesn't offer any answer as to why the ROX were incapable of mitigating the Suns speed on the offensive glass...

Nobody asks him why Snyder couldn't get off the bench or why our 2nd best bench 3 pt shooter is not even dressed for the game????

    What a joke!!

Even more sad is that if JVG is fired from the ROX, he'll go back to the Eastern Conference, and because the Conf. sucks so bad, he'll eventually get a team to the Eastern finals again, and people will think he's actually a good coach!!

I'd give anything to have Dunleavy as our Coach!!

Ironically all you would have to do is put Yao in the same spot as J-Ho and run the high pick and pop from there.

It is in the offense but JVG refuses to put Yao in at that spot...and to be clear I am not advocating going away from the low block at all, but adding it into the offense as a way to punish teams that play a zone against Yao....which will happen in the playoffs by pretty much every team.

Some, like the Suns tonight, will run it all game, while others will simply wait until the Rockets are comfortable in their offense and then spring it as a disruption mechanism to get the Rockets out of their rythmn.

This has been a problem for the last few years against the better teams....JVG just plays the same vanilla schemes and it works agianst most of the league but come playoff time against the better teams that have multiple sets and varying offensive and defensive schemes....we will get pounded.

The good news is that we probably won't see the Suns in the playoffs unless we both got into the conference finals.

And Steve Nash is 33 years old - the tide will turn.

this is not unexpeted, because rox haven't had a clue against the suns... need to look at those 14 losses and find something

It will be the same thing with Dallas. JVG simply has no answer when teams lay off guys like Hayes and Battier to concentrate on doubling Yao. The Rox guards are too streaky to make the other teams pay for employing this strategy and TMac alone can no longer rise up and punish them like the TMac of old.

Every post game interview after a loss he says the same things. Nothing new here.

All he has to do is play J-Ho's position.....it is the same set, the plays are in there, but only for J-ho...and no cuts on the baseline but those are easy to add.

And yes, I would expect a professional team to be able to counter against junk defenses like the Suns & every other team will run against us in the playoffs.

Is it too much to ask for our coach to make adjustments to help the team?

    You people are freaking idiots.

We wouldn't have won three freaking games when Yao got hurt if it was not for JVG. We are so prepared defensively every game for other teams. That in itself allows us to compete.

Tonight Phoenix played great and we played like crap. No spanoulis would not have made a difference. Snyder is athletic yes, but all his defensive errors would have led to even more open shots.

I am amazed how some of you morons really think you know more about basketball then JVG.

Face it. This team is good but not great.

They sometimes fronted TMAC and played a very physical defense on him. Physical defense works very well on TMAC,period.

Rockets couldn't shoot + Suns couldn't miss = game over. When Yao and TMac can't shoot, the Rockets can't beat anybody. The Mavs are being blown out by the Warriers. :)

IC2000 - you need to stop calling peole idiots, these are all opinions of passionate fans....

JVG is NOT infallible, he is prone to mistakes, particularly due to his myopicness and doggedness.

JVG is not helping the team much against the better teams....you say they are prepared, I call BS on that.

I think the Rockets are prepared to play their style, but when other teams have a good defense for that style the Rockets are unable to adjust.....

And the good teams and their coaches adjust....

JVG does not prepare well for teams that beat us on the perimeter and shoot 3pt shots well.....which is pretty much all the good teams.

I can't believe how bad jvg is. Freaking outcoached all the time. He doesn't know what to do against elite teams. Worst coach in the league.

Why you keep saying that we won those games because of JVG. TMac is the one that carried the team on his back on that strech.
