I wish we can beat the Suns for once but don't see how we can ran with Nash and companies. Limiting Nash's play is the key for this game, so I hope Rafer do a good job on him. Very very scary!
im telling you guys the KEY to winning is transition defense part of the Pheonix Suns practice regiment is to play with a 6 second shot clock watch their games, they will almost always attempt a shot when there is about 18 seconds left on their shot clock... if were gonna win this game, we need to be able to get back and match up on defense when Pheonix runs... i dont know though, i think our greatest weakness in our defense is percisley that, espically when it comes to guarding the 3 point line but as long as we keep thier shooting in check, we've got a good chance to win! Let's see if the good guys can make a stand....
Rox must force the Suns into our rhythm, paly half court game with Suns, don't even think about the speed. T-Mac should handle the ball more, Rafer shold never make the stupid decision for shooting 3's as soon as he get in position only by himself. Try to stop Nash, he is the engine. Work hard as a team, we have the chance to win this one.
Hard to win , but we still have a chance, remember this is a back to back game, I dont know if our players could run up sun's fast pace.
It seems like every time we play the Suns, we're coming off a back-to-back and they aren't. Is that my imagination? I'm too lazy to look it up. Anyway, I think we'll play well for 2 or 3 quarters, then run out of gas and get blown out in the 4th. I hope I'm wrong, but that seems to be the pattern with the Suns. Go Rockets!
Yes, I just did look. They played the Timberwolves the day before on the first game and they played Dallas the day before on the second one.
it seems to me the only way to beat the suns is to OUTSCORE them. they will get their 100 pts no matter what, even means let you score 300 pts. they do not play defense, they just run and run, using just 5 seconds shot clock. trying to use our defense to beat their offense is much harder than trying to use our offense to beat their weak defense. if i remember coreectly, that's how sa/dallas beat them.
We all know how good are Suns, but we can do that. So tough game, but finally win for us. ROCKETS 112 - 108 Suns Big night for T-Mac 33 pts/ 6 reb / 7 ast Yao continues 26 pts/ 12 reb / 3 blk
I'm not on the 'The Rox can't beat the Suns' bandwagon. The only true challenge we will have when fully healthy is Dallas. That said, I think tonight's game is the true measuring stick of our team. If we play our game, we beat them every time.
Tough game tonite. Its hard to see Yao will have a big nite, but 25pts and 13rbs will be reasonable. Instead,T-Mac will have a great nite there, 35pts and 11 assists. Oh I forgot, amare will break his leg by stopping Yao.
So is Novak gonna starting again?I think he started for the Rockets the last 2 times we play the Suns. Anyways,it is gonna be a very tough game.I hope we can at least hang on to the 4the quater. GO Rockets!
Whatever the outcome of the game, hopefully people here will drop this "the Suns are the WORST team in the NBA for us" nonsense. I hope we meet them in the playoffs.
What would life be without the daily cheerleading for the team's 12th man? I bet somebody in Phoenix right now is thinking, "Oh we would be so much better if we played Jumain Jones." And no doubt Avery is a complete fool for sitting Ager. Afterall, Ager is a first round pick and Billy was a second. Oh life would be so swell if JVG was just realize that Billy is TMac. Geesh, the whining never ends.
We hang tough for a while, but Phoenix is at home and just wears the Rockets down in the 2nd half. Phoenix 106 Rockets 88 But, it doesn't matter as the Lakers are free falling. We are locked into number 5 seed. DD
