Yao blocked twice by midgets... Game over, but no need to get depressed because we can still beat the Celtics and the Magic of the NBA world!
against a team like this, yao has to learn to turn and look before just blindly throwing it up and getting blocked. when he just turns and flips it puts no pressure on the defender and they can jump and block it. if he turns, hesitates for a split second, they either jump and get pump-faked or they don't jump and then he can lay it in before they get up. either way, i could see that block coming but he never pauses for a second to let the D go by. especially when you go up this soft.
YAO is having a terrible game.... he is the key to beat SUNS from our side. Come on, big man, make it happen!
The back to back is NO EXCUSE for PRO players who get paid millions of dollars apiece and have STATE of the ART equipment and PRO Trainers to help them be in topnotch shape!! The ROX problem is we don't have true shooters on our team. Dallas and Phoenix have enough offensive weapons that even if two of them are off, there's enough compensation from the others that it doesn't matter... The ROX only have TWO REAL offensive weapons and we have NOBODY to guard Barbosa!!! I'm absolutely sickened by the crappy defense we've played on Barbosa!!!
Quickness vs. strength (actually Amare may have him beat on both). But with Kurt Thomas, they play him traditionally... and yet he STILL can't get a shot off because of Thomas' physicality.
The main problem with the rockets offense is not Alston, despite his horrid play, but rather chuck Hayes. Despite Chuck putting in great effort and energy, the reality is that, Pheonix is not even guarding him and instead is using that extra man to sandwhich Yao, denying the post entry past. This in turn has cuased the rockets offense to bog down as they continue to look to find a way to get Yao the ball. Furthermore it has totally frustrated Yao's game, not giving him enough touches, scoring oppurtunities or chances to get a rythym or into the flow of the game. Simply put, despite chucks good play, JVG needs to either go small and put snyder in place of Hayes or put it Howard or even Novak.
Wow, the Mavs and the Suns are just in another league from the Rockets. It's like a pick up game vs an NBA team. Who's our daddy? SunMavs And now another Yao turnover. ARG H!
We have nobody to help when the collapse on Yao... how about picking the guys as they run at Yao? We keep leaving him to get hammered by 3 Suns at once..... Again, JVG shows is cluelessness on Offense!!!!
