key is to stop marion, bell, james jones, diaw, and especially barbosa in the west finals vs the spurs, the suns got pwn't cuz the spurs shut down marion and all thier three pt shooters and made nash and amare take them on thier own they used Duncan and owned them in the post all the while tiring the perimeter guys out with penetration by parker and ginobili. We need to take a book out the the San Antonio playbook
Yao has to make quick decisions with the ball against this speedy team or he will have a lot of turnovers. I don't know how we're going to cover Stoudemire. Yao doesn't have the speed and will get in foul trouble fast. On the other hand, Yao should be able to overpower Stoudemire offensively. However, we just don't have the speed or depth to stay with this team. It's very hard to slow them down because they all take the first open shot.

This is gonna be a tough one. Tail end of a back to back against the 2nd best team in the NBA and the one that is a nightmare matchup for us. They play their PF at C, SF at PF, shoot 3 pointers like crazy, and have a PG who constantly puts pressure on your defense for the whole game. If we were playing this game under regular circumstances I wouldn't be talking like this because I think we can beat them but of all the teams in the NBA, we matchup worse with this one and PHX is not a team you want to play on tired legs. We held our own against them and Dallas shorthanded but Yao has a history of getting winded on back to backs, a trend that he was finally starting to change this year but he is still in the process of getting his conditioning and timing back so I'm worried if he may have regressed in that area. He finally figured out how to attack the PHX double/triple team defense but I just wonder if he will be quick and sharp enough to do it as well as get back on defense fast enough. Not to mention we may have to dig a little deeper into our bench which is always a dicey proposition as a few of those guys have shown an inability to even hold a substantial lead effectively during garbage time against scrubby teams.
WE should start VSpan, he has lots of entensity when it comes to defense and maybe he can confuse the suns as to which pg is actually nash.
Phoenix is the only "elite" team the Rockets have yet to beat. They will get it done tommorrow. They have to.

well one thing we have going for us is that maybe the suns will not show up to their full potential because their next game is against dallas. they might be looking ahead, but the suns usually do show up every game.
I seriously doubt Yao will post monster numbers again tomrorow night. The Suns saw how he kill the Magic tonight and they will definitely collapse on him in the paint. But that will also open up the perimeter and we will have to capitalize on it by hitting the outside shots.
