It is hard to say. I hope we can win this one, but I doubt we can do it. THere are too many mismatch there, yao to AS , AS is small but too quick for yao, not to mention his aggressive attack, I guess they will use that to attack yao from the very beginning, yao will be in foul trouble in a couple of mintes. But I think Deke would be a better match for AS, so no a big deal for rox. Marion vs Howard, again he is small and quick, also he can hit threes even if noboby like his shooting style. I don't think Howard can do it by himself. Bowen is a good back up. Oh man, nash , Jo and Q, it seems every suns can score 20 plus easily, but roxs also have a strong back lineup, wes, mj( maybe sura) and TMAC, they will barely match suns back court. The only advantage for rox is our bench depth, Suns can not play without any of the starters, becasue nobody will stand up from their bench to fill the cap(even JJ). It will be a close one, hopefully roxs will play with a heart, a championship heart, or at least a playoff heart.
The key is to be physical with Nash. I'm not talking about hurting him on purpose. I'm talking about pressuring him when he has the ball, bumping him all the time, forcing him to drive the lane, and putting him on his ass when we can. Howard needs to spend some fouls. Bring in Weatherspoon to sit on him. Whatever. Let's see what Nashie can do in the 4Q. I see us going small sometimes with Yao, Tmac, Barry, Wesley and James. James will have opportunities to score in an open court game, but he'll need to balance that against getting Yao and others the right looks.
Like the last game the Rockets have to try to keep it close and then steal it late in the 4th when the game becomes more half-court. If Yao can stay out of foul trouble there is no way that Amare can guard him. It will also be interesting to see how Sura plays after missing 7 games. Iam sure he will be a little rusty but i hope his defense and rebounding give Nash some problems. Rockets 109 Suns 106
Have to slow down this team. Yao has to leave his sissy panties in seattle and play rough. He needs to make amare his biatch. That being said....... Phx: 11111111111111111111110 Rockets: 11111111111111111108
Fya, at first I thought that you want us to do some math on binary data until I saw that 8 at the end.
we should bench Jho.. and start play TMAC as our PF and have him match up against Marion Yao- Amare Tmac- Marion Sura- Quentin James- Johnson Wesley- Nash
Have you seen this strategy work on him. I'm not saying it can't one way or the other. I just think that Nash is a good enough ballhandler to get by a defender, even one playing tough. Nash will get tired by the 4th, but assuming you are still in the game at that point a lot of your players may be in foul trouble. THe key obviously is to stop Nash's dribble penetration. The question is is that easier down with hard-nose, tough, physical on the ball defense, or by tempting Nash to shoot. Unfortunately, Nash is a decent shooter so both options seem to have their disadvantages. Offensively, they have to pound the ball into Yao. Watching Amare try to guard him the last few games has been laughable.
Have you watched Yao & Amare battle in the past? Amare always tries to take it to Yao, and to no vail so far. The truth is, Yao has guarded Amare very well in the past, and Amare has no answer to Yao. They even used Marion on Yao last time to deny him the ball since Amare was useless in the D department.

This game should be fun. We're gonna have to play some serious transition D to have a chance in this one. I also wonder how much Sura is going to play. Rox: 116 Suns: 113 MY BAD!!!!!!!!!! Scooter T.
Not a bad idea. Only thing is that Sura has missed the past 7 games and will most likely be rusty and a bit out of shape. We could go with this lineup in the 4th quarter if its still a close game.
Makes sense when we play the Suns. So you think our running ,no rebounding squad can out run theirs. I doubt it.
I liked Yao's scoring against the Sonics but he needs to grab more rebounds against the Suns instead of hoping that Howard will pick up the slack. James needs to attack and defend well against Nash. Wesley and Sura will have to contain Q and Johnson and T-Mac has to defend Marion. If we can move the ball around, knock our shots down along with an inside game and defend as a team we have a chance.
How to contain a good player? Easy, make him to play defense. Our PGs have to get at him, penetrate, PnR, wear him out at the defensive end. More importantly, don't run with them. But I highly doubt it, that we can keep the cool heads, given the running tendency of Sura and James.
OMG, I hope JVG is watching tonights Suns/Spurs game. Suns are softer than sponges inside. Tracey needs to penetrate and penetrate and penetrate and we need to go to Yao as much as he can handle.
I think Q. Richardson might be banged up. He only played like 6 mins tonight against the Spurs. Anyone who saw the game know what happen to him?
Nash had 15 assists tonight. Maybe his arms will be tired on Friday. Amare had 44, put he won't put those numbers on Ming. Ming takes up too much of his working space. The Rockets CAN win! I believe. Brace for a shocker!
