Right on. It's nothing different from some of our fellow members here who said they wouldnt trade Yao for Lebron, Duncan and Garnett combined. :)

That is his career field goal percentage against Yao.

Actually if you calculate his shooting percentage when Yao was on the court, it dropped down to about 28%.

And that dude still tried again and again to go against Yao in the 4th quarter in vain.

It was Amare's 1-6 from the floor in the 4th that allowed the Rockets to take the lead and snowballed the blowout.

Suns fans are great. Over on their board they're acting like they're some power and saying "Rocket fans are getting excited about this win after missing the playoffs for 4 years, makes you appreciate what we have!" What they fail to mention is that they missed the playoffs LAST year, we MADE it last year and we have 2 NBA championships to celebrate. They're having a nice regular season and you would think they're a dynasty or something with the way they're acting. At least we realize what we have, a newly put together team that is growing together and having to earn its way among the best. The guys on the Phoenix message board were great though, trashing the Clutchfans message board and talking about how they were going to destroy us and "homerism". Then they ripped the Rockets for havinga "built in" excuse for an "eventual" loss then used their OWN excuse for a loss. Payback is a b*tch!

I just laughed when the Suns' players and fans were constantly complaining about the officials. THEY were creating all the contact to TRY to draw fouls on Yao. It was so obvious. Yao just put his hands up and backed away a bit and they jumped right into him. Thank god we had good refs this game because we have seen this go against Yao WAY too much this season.

We all might as well face it. Even if the Rockets go undefeated the rest of the season in winning the championship, most of the media will still not give them their due props. They'll say that this has been the weakest the conference has been in a decade, or Shaq is not there anymore, or they are the softest team to ever win, and so on and so on. The fact of the matter is that either the media can't stand a team outside of LA, Chicago or NY winning it or are simply jealous.

The '94 & '95 championships will always go down as the 'worst finals in history' and the two years Jordan was retired, and whatever the team does in the future will also be known for what allowed them to succeed rather than them just being damn good.

    Then he's an idiot.

There's no way that Amare can have the impact on a game the way that Yao can (just look at Kobe and Shaq). Yao shut down the lane tonight in a way that I have not seen in years ... no doubt Phoenix will score their points, but I can't imagine how many points they lost to changed shots. The impact that Yao has on the game when he plays like this is impossible to exagerrate. You might think that good 3-pt shooting could overcome Yao's presence ... but they went 15 of 32, and still got beat by 20!

You might somehow argue that Amare is 'better' individual player ... but I'll take Yao and Championships.

    Unbelievable.

This just shows that Stoudmire is very one dementional. Not saying he isnt good, but he is not even Kemp good right now. What did he expect? He 6''9 guy go at a 7'6'' without much post moves and expecting calls. What a fool. He was destroyed in the 2nd half. He lead the Sun's fall tonight.

Great win tonight!!! Even if they had Marion i still think we would have beat them. Besides JJ and McCarty combined for 35 pts so its not like they were really missing him on offense. T-mac and Yao were awesome in the 4th quarter for the second straight game. Also Yao did a great job on Amare in the 4th and James did an awesome job on Nash also.

How awesome would it be if they went 4-0 on this trip!!! GO ROCKETS !!!

Don't want to sound like a pessimist, but that Golden State game worries me.
