Hey Rockets2K - I hope you got that game taped, 'cause there were TONS of highlichts in that one! I can hardly wait! -- droxford
What a bunch of whiners on that webcast summary. The host, Amare and the coach all whined about the "horrible" officiating in the second half. In their eyes, they only swallowed their whistles when Phoenix had the ball. The coach even commented that the same thing happens against the Spurs..."we keep trying to force the action, don't get the calls, and we keep trying for the calls rather than just playing basketball". That's better coach, but you're still whining!
as a lover of cinema and an admirer of films that strive to be more than extended Volkswagen commericals, I commend you for speaking up. And Barkley truly is a piece of sh*t. The only way people forgive him for his irritating crassness is the way he can play it off; he does this mainly by laughing at himself and basically admitting, "I'm an idiot, why do you listen to me"
Amare shot 16 fts and he's still b****in' about not gettin foul calls. So is D'antoni the lil b****...his strategy in the 4th was to drive it in the lane and have Yao foul out.
I would have done that too..Yao had 4 fouls..I'm really glad the refs didn't call some...Joe Johnson drove in and tried initiating contact..no call..and jumped up and down mad/frustrated/complaining. Amare did it too..but Amare travels before he reaches Yao anyways.....doesn't he? I like Nash..lol fadeaway..no contact..I don't know Nash didn't play that well today like he usually does. Maybe Coach D'antoni forgot to tell them we got Mike James..and Ryan Bowen..maybe too much offense and forgot about rebounding. Yeah 16 ft's is a lot
Did somebody say Amare's field goal percent against Yao is 34%? Well, tonight he's right on target: 9/2 = 34.8%! Isn't that amazing?
They have to realize that contacts doesn't get you a automatic foul. If offical just call a foul whenever there's a contact, players like Yao and Shaq can just go through people and get to the foul line 50 times a game.

Holy smoke!!! ESPN finally gave Yao most of the highlight with a little of T-Macs. The best was the dunk on Amare. Awesome!
gimme a break. Yao and T-mac both got hit a few times with no call and they weren't even the ones initiating the contact. also, the suns got away with a few travels adn three second violations while we didn't. Amare just charges into the lane and runs over people and never gets called for charging but he expects all the ticky tack crap to get called.
yeah that awesome dunk on amare when bill said it was on mccarty..that shoulda been and 1. But wow..Yao was definitely prepared tonight along with Tmac and the rest of the team. They wanted to win this one. I didn't think they could do it! Great job I can't wait for playoffs. I think we can advance farrrr into the bracket...
T-Mac pours in 38 as as visiting Rockets roll PHOENIX (AP) -- Jon Barry walked around the Houston Rockets' locker room chanting, "Welcome to the machine, welcome to the machine." The Rockets certainly looked well-oiled Friday night. Tracy McGrady scored 38 points and Yao Ming had 27 points and a career-high 22 rebounds, helping the Rockets rally from a 14-point third-quarter deficit to defeat the Phoenix Suns 127-107. "McGrady was terrific, and that performance by Yao was dominating," Barry added. The victory was the third straight for the Rockets over an elite Western Conference team following wins over Dallas and Seattle in their two previous games. The loss prevented the Suns (47-15) from becoming the winningest team in the NBA and dropped them one-half game behind the idle San Antonio Spurs (47-14) in the race for home court advantage in the playoffs. Houston is 36-25 and surging. Houston began the fourth quarter trailing by four points, but with McGrady pumping in jumpers and the 7-foot-6 Yao taking command inside, the Rockets outscored Phoenix 41-17 and finished with their highest point total of the season. Houston shot .565 (13-for-23) in the period, while the Suns, who had been at .492 percent (30-for-61) through three quarters, were only 6-for-26 (.231) in the fourth. "This is a big win for us," McGrady said. "This is a high-powered offense. And for us to hold them to 17 points in the fourth quarter shows how good a defensive team we can be. "I've got to tip my hat to the big fella (Yao) tonight. I just hope he continues to play that way. There aren't too many players who can stay with him when he plays that way." David Wesley contributed 20 points for Houston and Mike James had 14, all in the second half. "We believe we can go very far (in the playoffs)," James said. "If we're going to win a championship, we've got to beat the best to give us confidence going into the end of the season. And Phoenix was the best in the West." "I don't think we can play any better defensively than we did at the end of the game," Yao said. "And to have a guy like Tracy McGrady, who's such a great scorer ... when they go out to double-team him, it opens up the middle." Amare Stoudemire led Phoenix with 31 points and 10 rebounds, but shot only 2-for-10 in the second half as he was continually frustrated by Yao underneath. Walter McCarty added a season-high 20 points, including six 3-pointers, before fouling out with 3:23 left, and Jim Jackson and Joe Johnson each had 15 points for Phoenix. Steve Nash finished with 10 points and 10 assists. The Suns' second-leading scorer and No. 1 rebounder, Shawn Marion, was sidelined with a contusion of the left knee. "I wouldn't say frustrating," Stoudemire said, "but I got a little upset out there. It wasn't quite going our way. It was rough for us." "Tracy McGrady hit all the big shots," Phoenix coach Mike D'Antoni said. (He) did a good job of putting the dagger in when we were struggling. He just didn't miss anything.' The first half, which ended 60-60, was very fast-paced -- typical for the Suns, but not so typical for the defense-oriented Rockets. It also was a series of spurts and a furious dual between Stoudemire and McGrady. By halftime, Stoudemire, the league's fourth-leading scorer, had 24 points and McGrady, the No. 5 scorer, had 17.< ^Notes@: In their next home game, April 18 against Golden State, the Suns will place their former coach, the late Cotton Fitzsimmons, into their Ring of Honor during halftime ceremonies. ... "I wouldn't say frustrating," Stoudemire said, "but I got a little upset out there. It wasn't quite going our way. It was rough for us." I would be frustrated missing all those shots. I thought it was hilarious when he goaltended. I mean..that was pretty dumb. He could have let it go..instead had to give Yao the 3 point play lol. The play where Barry got the loose ball and just ran right past 3 Suns and then got hacked by Barbosa was great. That was like telling Barkley we aren't soft... Some of the shots Tmac made were impossible. Usually, shots will be off because the defenders are distracting him putting their hands up and stuff. Tmac just kept making shot after shot. Kobestyle.. I LOVE THE ROCKETS!!!
