Our other star hasn't played a back to back all year and it's probably easier to get up for Denver/utsh because it's two playoff teams. why would we rest WB for Phoenix but not LA? Obvious because that's the one more important to us. Don't overreact. There are no back to backs in the plsyoffs.
The 65 win team went through one small dip near the all star break but otherwise DID win games like this. That 65 win team had pretty good health and was just a better team... this team has a lot of potential but guys are sitting out back to backs, Harden played injured for a month, they just made a major change at the trade deadline and to this point not been consistent.
One thing I agree with the old heads is when they say theres no way Rockets can keep up the same energy as last night for an entire season. We hustled hard last night, played it like it was a game 7 of playoffs. Obviously, we didn't tonight and we won't be able to do it consistently.
Honestly, not hating or bashing, but I dont think that just because Harden had 1 good quarter means he doesnt share blame. Most of his minutes were poor play, just better than his teammates, who were horrid.
Unfortunately, Sam Hinkie is actually working for the Denver Broncos nowadays. So unless Clemons really has something no one knows about, I doubt even dumb fork like BOB will want to offer a first rounder to him.
MDA at least expanded his rotation, lot of trust there...so they had 21 TOs - 7 more - and outrebounded us by 20. Shot 55% over the course of the game. Wonder how we lost this one...agreed w/ anyone who says we need to play quicker than this. Probably can give up on winning both on any back-to-backs this season.
Tonight, Harden's TOs didn't have that much of an effect...Rockets 15 turnovers. The Suns had 22 TOs with Booker having 4 TOs himself. Except the Suns capitalized better on our errors than we did on theirs. Again, it was the team
Rox need a better coach and just demote Dumbtoni to offensive coordinator. He is too dumb to be the HC for a contending team thats why PHX Suns failed and why Rox will fail barring a harden WB miracle.
Interesting that as the leadership goes so does the effort but their is a bright side to this.MDA will have to make an adjustment or the next back to back we will see this.
It’s like Floyd fighting Wilder and instead of using his speed/ defense, He chooses to get into a slug fest. Lol not very smart. I was just thinking about Harden’s career in the next couple years. He’s getting up there in age and he could be headed towards a Iverson/ Melo ( before the comeback) type ending if he doesn’t change his game.
Of course you blame Harden. How exactly was he as bad as everyone else if he had an efficient 32 point game..... with 5 assists, 1 block and 1 steal? He got us back to a 5 point game in the 3rd quarter..... then the other guys decided to brick more wide open shots from Harden's double teams. Once we started to miss those back-to-back shots, the momentum went to the Suns. Momentum is a key thing in basketball. And those passes from the double team were fine. They lead to wide open shots the majority of the time. I guarantee you if Giannis had those stats and his teammates were bricking like that, you would be praising the living hell out of him. Harden can't win either way. Why should he care about this team when the owner, general manager and half his supporters don't care?
Are you @BasketMAD 's weekend fill-in? I kid, I kid. That was a horrible game. I hope Gordon isn't hurt too bad. Besides his pride as a Rocket.
