So much more athletic than he is now! His post moves were more effective thanks to it Orlando Dwight was an absolute monster. Like playoff Rockets Dwight but there for the regular season too. I knew there was a reason I liked watching him back then too
^^ wtf regarding that banked J shot. I wish he would have developed that shot with and without bank. @. 5:35 /5:50
4:33 Dwight was officiated a different way, the league loved Orlando Dwight, not so much Rockets Dwight.
No kidding! Back and Knee injuries will slow a man down tho as a big man. Especially when you're playing as physical as he and his opponents do. A mid-range jump shot would do wonders for the longevity of his career. I'm not sure if he's practiced developing a jump shot, but if they haven't, i dont see why they wouldn't. If he can hit 40-60% of his FT's, I would hope after practice, he can hit the same 40-60% with mid-range shots.
What about Markieff? He had 30 pts (13-20 FGM-A) including a 3-pointer (1-3) 11 rebounds (1 ORB, 10 DRB), 6 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks (41 minutes played) in a loss against Toronto. Reports say that the new look Suns are featuring him as their primary scoring option with Earl Watson as the interim coach. I know that Markieff is a locker room risk who takes a lot of midrange shots, but he's got serious upside, he is only 26, he's on a super friendly contract (Around $8 million/yr x 4yrs) and he seems to be an upgrade (If not a more consistent option) than TJones. What happened to the trade rumor of TJones + Corey Brewer for Markieff Morris? I know that other pieces would have to be included for the money to balance out, but I would do it in a heartbeat if I were GM. Has Markieff's price gone up? Will this game serve as a Markieff showcase for the Rockets to up their bid for the PF?
