I think Francis should probably do that anyway. Who is he? Is he a team leader (certainly up for debate after this suspension) or is he simply a role player that jumps real high? Either way, Rockets win tonight. MJ goes for a double double and Yao as a big night against a team with no real center.
Now that Steve won't play in the game, the Rockets win in a blow out, 135-52. Yao - 64 points on 27-28 shooting and 10-10 from the FT line. His only miss is a garbage time three pointer and DaDakota suggest trading him because he can't shoot from the outside. Mark Jackson - 10 points, 10 rebounds, 31 assists Cuttino Mobley - 5 points on 2-17 shooting while wearing a "SF3" arm band in support of his teammate. JVG announces after the game that the Rockets will leave Francis open in the expansion draft. Bobcats take Tyronne Lue instead, claiming "He's a proven winner with his title as a member of the Lakers, and a good fit with our organization". Steve gets traded after the game to the Washington Wizards. I'll still miss him when he's gone, though.
Jeff Van Gundy expelled from Hair Club for Men, ....Justin Timberlake quoted as saying it was just a malfunctioning hairpiece.
I don't care if we lose because we have no one able to run the show, I would still want to trade Francis.
I had started a thread about the Rockets winning the next five games. That was before the NJ game! So the thread ended before it actually took off! Anyway I believe that Francis's absence from the game would actually benefit the Rockets players. Hey, it'll cut down on the number of turnovers and they may actually pull this one out
i'm thinking the players union would pretty much have jvg's ass if he tried that and i'm sure david stern would be oh so thrilled that one of his fan favorites isn't going to play in the game now.
A must win game. We do not have SF, but Sun will not have Amare, so we are still a better team. Yao must play well, otherwise we should trade him for Wang Zhizhi from Heat. Rox:89 Sun:82
If I remember correctly, the Rox got their *** beat last time they played the Suns. I hope we can win this one. Yao better step it up a notch, since there is no SF Yao must come back to the form he was in a week ago. He can not repeat his last outing. It's up to JJ and Yao, and hopefully Cat.
Looks like the Cato experiment at power forward may be over. Jeff Van Gundy has decided to start Scott Padgett tonight. (just heard on pre-game radio)
