The team is also nothing with Steve if he gets no heart.

He should put his team in 1st priority.

its his first time to ever have this problem. Its a safe bet whenever steve is on the court he has the most heart out of all the players. He is the most aggresive. You can see that. Sure he wines and slams the ball on the ground, or starts fights with other players, that because he care!! Right now he is going through some tought times. I think its okay to have one mistake like this in your 5 year carear. Hopefully he wont do it again.

No, just the first time YOU heard about it. Remember the strange health incident last season?

it's rubbish to claim the rox are nothing without steve. if they had the opportunity for a practice session or two knowing their key playmaker wasn't going to be in the game they would've been better prepared.

Actually, you are bullsh!tting yourself. This game was a perfect example of how SF holds this team together. Even though he is having his worst season (#'s wise), our team is nothing w/o him.

Have ya'll noticed that JVG never takes Steve out of the game, even if he is shooting 3-17. Reason why: look at tonights game and all blown leads, no matter how much some of ya'll hate SF, you can't deny that we aren't a good team w/o him.

yeah right, Rox team is an elite one for five years with SF! Although they never got into play-off, they are chapionship contender! Is that what you want to tell?
the reason for this blown out loss tonight is that this team is at a termoil point and they are not playing team ball and they are not playing inspired and smart. Plus, bonehead MoC was ruining the game from the beginning. It's JVG's fault to let him keep messing around and not enforce hard the dump-the-rock-inside strategy.

van gundy could have proved a point last night by dumping the ball to yao all night, but instead he coached like weatherspoon was our star player! I hope van quiter has an another episode, so the rockets can get a coach who put his players in the best position to play well. Who is the offence running through? Ming is struggling for position in the low post, when he should be diving down low from the high post. He is trying to turn francis into charlie ward, I can take sf turn over better when he is avg. 20 ppg and shooting 44%. Mobley should be comming off the bench, taylor should be starting. We need to trade Cato while he still has some value, for a real small foward and let JJ move to sg. The Rockets defence is not better than last years, know matter what the stats say, slowing down the game, limiting the other team shots also limits francis, yao mobley, and taylor shots.

So you are saying that we are a good team with SF? How do you define a good team? All those guys suggested was to REPLACE SF with someone else, for instance a true point guard. No one has ever said to remove SF and leave his position open. Were you actually expecting a win last night, when your "star player" turned his back on the team on a road game prior to departure?

Truly pathetic...We will miss the playoffs by at lest one or two games...

BTW, this isn't Francis' fault, we just plain suck right now...

Didn't watch enough of the game to give a recap. Dissapointing loss. With or without Francis the Rockets lately have been playing like crap.

The Rockets could definitely of used Steve last night but the Rockets have had crap games in the past with him on the floor. Need I remind of you the 14 point loss in Miami just over a week ago where Francis shot 2-9 for 9 points, 3 ast, and 2 TO in 39 minutes? Or other similar crap games when he was on the floor this season? Judging the teams loss on one bad game without him in the floor is like judging Francis worst game and saying that sums up his whole career. He's a talented player, but with or without him the Rockets have been playing bad ball lately.

I agree ... in essence we are a lottery team with SF and a lottery without him. I think most of the pressure and blame is on him because he is our Max player. Thats part of the responsibilities of being the "max" or star player.

anyways we will see how this pans out.

but truthfully the rockets made the lottery with an 45 and 43 win season, and a season he had migraines and miss a lot of games. when the rockets last made the play offs they only won 41 games. I am starting to think the talent level around francis and yao is the problem. we went from the second youngest team in the league to an pretty old team in one year. We lost posey, griffin, morris, and replaced them with jackson, jackson, pike,a griffin and and trade draft pick crazy.

I'm tired of our guards being outplayed by the other team's guards on a constant basis. Also, we always get lit up at the 3 point line, what's up with that???????
