I don't care who is the most import player, all I want is win and getting into playoff. But right now it is in the "going and going and gone" mode.

Why would Steve be happy with another loss? Well I hope Steve got some rest because he'll be playing catch up with TJ next.

I agree, SF would not have gotten us there tonight. His shooting the last 12 games has been pitiful. Nor has he been getting to the line as he usually would. No idea what is wrong with SF at the moment.

    Any ideas???

JVG is really dispointing. dispointing the players and dispointing us fans. When Steve was suspended and Cato was not playing, why he benched Yao at the beginning of 4th Qtr? thought Spoons was going to carry the Rox back? Give me a break!
Basketball should not have been that complicated. When you have star players, develop your offense arround them. Star player is the heart of a team. when everything is fine, you don't see the importance of star player, when something goes wrong, only star player has the gut to bring the team back. The Rox is like the Kings and Mavs now, everyone has an equal role in the team. The difference is very rare players, if some, in the Rox team can shoot. It may be challenged that this team does not have a leader. Ok, if so, we need to trade in one. Or, we should develop one. You just can not run the offense so complicated to confuse our players themselves.
Another point, you can not play defense too hard. If you overdo it, you lost the energy and desire in offense. It looked to me this team is over-coached. And maybe over-practiced. The offense is terrible.

Suns's game , especially, offensively is a lot of smoother than
ours. They don't have inside game, but their guards oriented
    offense played really well tonight.

I am glad everybody can see that the team is nothing without Steve. To bad it had to happen like this though.

i bet the team can win w/o steve but they dont think they can; as a result they came out to the game unmotivated.

I only watched bits and pieces of the game it was too ugly to watch for more then ten minutes at a time. I believe clearly that the Rockets need Francis to go places. Francis or another star player. What i propose is a trade if we dont make the playoffs this season. The nucleus of this team has been together for 4 or 5 years and we are always at the same place. Just hovering outside the playoffs. I think the Rockets need to trade Steve Francis for a player like Ray Allen. I think Steve is an overall better player then Ray but obviously as seen by the way our team consistantly stinks at scoring we need a proven scorer. I dont think we can trade Francis for a player like T mac or Pierce or Kobe, but a Ray Allen is quite possible. I think the only problem is that Ray Allen makes a lil more then Steve. So i say trade Mo Taylor for Rashard Lewis as well. Steve is better then Ray, Rashard is better then Mo. The trade works both ways. Seattle needs a true point guard and more interior players and the Rockets need a shooter (damn you Pike). I say with this trade our team will look like.

    Starters
    Point: Cutino Mobley
    Shooting Guard: Ray Allen
    Small Forward: Jimmy Jackson
    Power Forward: Kelvin Cato
    Center: Yao Ming

    Bench:
Rashard Lewis (can come in and play the power forward spot much the way Mo does for us now but can also move to the Three to give Jim Jackson a suitable back up).
    mark Jackson
    Mike Wilks
    Pagget (spelling?)
    Boki
    Weatherspoon
    Griffin

Let me know what you guys think?

IF you can get Lewis, and you will put him on the bench and let JJ start over him?

    What did you drink tonight?

well, him and everyone who watched the game.

as for walterw's comment, wait you mean teams can let their perimeter guys do stuff to? it doesn't all have to be inside out? hell, we even post up jj and mobley. and we tried to make francis post and take that ridiculous turnaround fadeaway. jvg is too rigid. i'm just so super duper happy we fired rudy and hired him.

Almu, any word on how that crow is coming along? did the bbq sauce help? i've got a deep fryer, maybe that'll get it down. there's lot of it to be had.

well, he comes right out and tells you he's a crazy guy in his s/n.

and if seattle wants to give us rashard for mo t, you do that regardless. but i don't think they'd go for it unless they had several guns pointing at their heads.

I dont believe we can trade Lewis for Mo straight up, but if we give up our star player for a good player in Ray and give up a good player in Mo for a star in Rashard i dont see how this can't be possible. And as for Lewis coming off the bench... its sort of like a Barkley thing. Barkley was better then Willis when we had him but Willis started ahead of him. I think Lewis should play the bulk of the minutes, i just think him coming off the bench and being the focus of the offense is better then him starting and just blending in....... in any case i think any way of getting Ray Allen for Steve Francis would help us out tremendously.
