got our butts kicked by matrix, joe johnson and leandrihno barbosa. the good part of a 4 game losing streak is seeing what moves may happen afterwards.

francis is a leader! He is one of the few players on this team that gives 110%. What he did yesterday was totaly out of character. It is obvious this team is NOTHING without sf. The whole team was lost. Maybe bill walton should replace steve francis with yao ming when he talks about the team being lost without him.

Agree it's all up to him. He has to want it. Otherwise somebody will take it from him.

Honestly outside of SF and Yao who are our threats.. ? Our 3rd star that JVG is always talking about?

I like JJ he is a solid role player and knows his role.
MoT and Cat are good players but not stars without someone else getting all the defensive attention.

I dont anyone else is even worth mentioning.. everyone knows we cant shoot.. people have been saying MJ and Wilks cant shoot, thats already a given.

Boki and Pike not hitting shots hurts when thats all we have them do.

I hope we make some major roster moves by the deadline.. I might just be overreacting right now.. but someone stated it before.

3 SG's and 2 Centers does not make for a well balanced team.

Our lack of depth was really exposed tonight..

Before JVG calling out the players' heart, I would question his heart. It seemed he just gave it up after 3 qtrs. When down by 15, the only chance was to put all your best players on the court. But look what he did!! LMFO!!

Your best player doesnt have to be your leader... TD wasnt the leader of the Spurs till recently.. and he stated he was uncomfortable with it. (I read that article)

Tmac has recently become the leader of that team and he stated he wasnt comfortable with that too.
    (recent article)

Some people are leaders some are star players "some" happen to be both.

I think we need to find the right mix of veteran leadership and quality players. SF trys hard his effort is never questioned (when hes on the court) but effort doesnt equal leadership.

Its a quality to make everyone around you better.. work harder. to inspire.

we dont have that type of leader yet..

Franchis should be quite satisfied now watching how his teamates struggled without him. It is really good for him to say Rox can't win without his leadership. But, do you really think we can win even he should played in the court? The Suns just played good, both passing and shooting. Yao should tried to shoot more and be more aggresive, since the defenders had been in foul trouble by the end of first half. Well, we may miss another playoff:confused:

Then just leave Yao alone if you think this loss is not his fault. Geesh.

And with Yao + Steve, we are still where we were a few years ago.
So, again I say, give it some MORE time

i am leeving him alone. I did not dis him at all. All i said was that steve is the most important player on the team. If that offends Yao, then im sorry.

happy you got that wrong.. we cant win without his points.

He doesnt have the leadership.. we dont seem to have any.

If we look around at other struggling/ quality teams around the league what seems to be the difference? effort? Talent? maybe leadership?

talentwise I have to agree with JVg alot of teams are about Par. theres something else that makes good teams great I dont know what it is yet.

Totally agree with you, There is only one way to win this game is when Franchise take it over.
Give the power back to Franchise.

we proved that Rockets is a scrub team without Steve today.
We need our MAX contract Franchise Player.

    or not.

where has the rockets perimeter D gone????

poor shooting, can't watch the game till later but from the box scores looks like it wasn't just Mobes missing.... MJax was 1 of 7 and Jimmy missed plenty after been amazingly hot against the Kings... and where was MoT offense that has been very reliable all season......

I think any team that has effectively $18 million in salary not playing due to suspensions or matchups will have problems. $18 million can get back some good players. I think Van Gundy is going to dealing in the offseason.
