What makes you think he doesn’t have a vision? What does a vision for a team look like to you? As I mentioned this is his first year with a roster that is more stable and tailored to his style meaning last year he had to mix and match pieces most of which were leftovers from the harden era and new odd pieces such as Vic O, cousins, wall etc. this is the man’s first full year with a team he likely had input in building. First year with KPJ and green and wood nucleus. Let the man coach. Let the team grow. We are seeing them compete with the big dogs so let’s wait and evaluate after one year. And you mentioned suns. Suns sucked three years ago and as close as 2 years ago. But started coming together at the end of 2020 added cp3 and couple vets and that team excelled. But it took Booker more than 4 years to achieve this. Him and bridges ayton and Johnson etc had couple years before they are what they are today. So relax and be patient.
This team still has resiliency issues, especially in the second half. I thought the turning point this game was when McGee got away with a goaltend on Sengun's shot in the 3rd quarter. Just seems like the team was out of sorts the rest of the game and never pulled it together.
Probably his worst game of short season but he was still best player or 2nd best player on the team. And 3rd best is not even close.
"Yeah ... they came at us like a hurricane ... tough for us to come back ..." "I didnt realize 0 assists in 4th quarter ... lol ..." Silas does not sound like he thought Rockets had a chance to win, was very surprised they played well in 1st half. He just sounds clueless about a lot of things.
The one thing i took from last nite is how bad Sengun is. He's a decent passer, but anything else hes pretty much useless. Teams are literally singling him out and scoring at will. He's also a HORRIBLE finisher around the rim. This board whine about Silas not starting him, but now i think Silas was right. The Rockets bigman rotation is trash outside of Wood
Don’t focus too much on box score numbers. It’s great to score 40 but it’s not great to score 40 while your teammates aren’t involved. Then, when you need them to hit shots down the stretch, they are ice cold. Also not great if you score 40, but give up 41 on defense.
It's not a knock on Silas, like I said. Can't have a vision because he doesn't know what the kids can do. He's experimenting a lot and seeing what works and what doesn't. He can game plan once he has a better handle of the the guys are capable of. I'm trying my darndest to temper judgements until the end of the year.
Sounds like you just described Green to a T. Score 40, give up 41. And FYI, scoring 40 in the NBA is no easy feat. Those guys who can do it consistently are coveted by teams for a reason.
terrific and prolific pick setter? can we at least agree that he sets nice picks and he sets a millions of picks every game...?
Interesting you say that. Reminds me of when Francis was a rookie and wasn't aggressive at time and Rudy would push him to **** more and drive more. These young players need better coaching and I don't think the current staff is capable. I think they should keep Lucas and let the rest go
Yes, scoring 40 is a lot. Wood can’t score 40 consistently. I was using the number you used. If you said 30 I’d have said 31 — point remains. green is a 19 year old rookie. He has an excuse.
They are playing better but they need a finisher. Wood get nervous....Porter tried at the end of Laker game....I think Gordon should be our finisher but he had turnovers in the 3rd and 4th quarter in the Suns game.
