JVG just sits there and lets it go on - poor decissions ,poor shooting and poor passing. V Span and NovaK will also make all these mistakes but they are our future! When our starters are too tired or just being out played like to-night our rookies should be given ample chance to gain experience and also give rest to the front line troops.

In the previous game Battier kept going to the corner of the arc and making three points. It looked like to-night he forgot where his favourite spot was!!!:p

Yao Ming again on the floor but playing about and not getting into position for a time in the fourth qtr.Was he just too tired to be on the court?

Tracy Mc Grady, it wasn't a serious game for him, he just practiced his shot!

The real problem with this team is that it has only two "truely unselfish" players, namely Ming and Shane. When Ming and Shane don't do well, they don't shoot alot. Others like Alston or even Tmac are different. I don't want to say that they are selfish, but they are, especially Alston. If he missed 5, he would try to shoot the next 5 to get it back. We all know that Yao is the first option. I think that they know that too. How can he get away with not passing the ball to Yao? JVG lets him do it. It is JVG's fault. It is JVG's responsibility to tell him not to do that. If he continues to do it, he will not see the light of the court for a long time. Ask Yao to demand the ball is just impossible due to his personality. He will yell and ask for the ball, but if PG does not give him the ball, he will not confront him about it, So PG will never get presure from Yao. People may say that he does not has enough confidence to demand the ball, but for god's sake he is 26/10 guy. off course he has the confidence. It is just that he was not born that way. JVG has to tell the players like Alston to give it up, period. It all comes down to the coach. I don't want to say that JVG is a bad coach, he is incompetant for sure. He can't execute efficiently as a coach.
You are right about one thing. If Rockets is not going to use Yao properly, cut him. a team like laker, Twolve, and others becomes legit contender immediately when they get him.

tmac is not selfish, he is just cold of late. Rafer, well I don't know if he's selfish, but i do know he aint the brightest bulb out there. He seems to think he is Tony Parker with that tear drop shot (except HIS is much less effective). He does seem to be jacking up a lot of shots unnecessarily, and I think we now know what he is....a serviceable PG on the offensive end, and weak link on the defensive end. With no better options, he is still our best bet at his position.

As far as feeding Yao, Tmac and Battier are the only ones with a clue. Rafer has the ability, but he's just not getting it done. Head is just lookinbg for his own shot out there, though maybe that's what we need from him. Unless he becomes a ballhawk defensively (like he is capable of), he will always be just an average player.

i am sick of alston thats for sure the dude is taken way to many shots, they've really gotta find a point guard that can make there shots and punnish for the double teams. I mean 9 3 pointers! over half his shots. we wont win a championship with him at point as he costs the team to much

Let's start praying Rockets wont meet Suns in the playoffs.

We have ZERO chance to beat them in a series.

i hate to say this. to me it looked like rafe and mac rode yao's coat tails to get the team back in it, but then wanted to take the shots that would put the rockets on top to come out as the hero of the game. why else would they ignore yao?

Hey, I know that I don't want him back. Listen, everyone should have seen this loss coming: 2nd game of a back-to-back and on the road to boot. TMac is trying to come back after getting hurt the night before. Playing Phoenix, a team that streaks up and down the court. A team that attacks them (Rockets) where they are weakest (guard play and poor team shooting). Sometimes it's like the NBA deliberately schedules you a L.

They are still getting a read on what they have and how best to use the new players on the roster. And you can bet your last dollar that JVG knows that he must address the poor shooting or this will be his last season in Houston. So just relax because things are OK for now. If they happen to go on an extended losing streak, then it will be time to panic.

was just reading the recap of the game from nba.com

"Notes: The Suns have sold out all eight of their home games. ... The Rockets were playing on consecutive nights, while Phoenix hadn't played since Sunday. ... Phoenix has won seven of eight after a 1-5 start. ... The Rockets were 13-of-38 on 3-pointers, the Suns 8-of-19. ... Rookie Shane Novak got his first start for the Rockets, going 2-for-5 for six points."

Deckard, you have been reading my mind here. I purposely watch TMac when he has the ball running the point and time after time, he passes up the chance to drive in favor of shooting the J or passing the ball off sometimes resulting in a bad turnover. This has also been my major complaint about having Alston as your PG because I just don't like the way he manages a game. Both he and Head seem to get into a zone where they just bomb away from the outside and since both are streaky shooters, the results are more bad than good. You can see other teams actually expecting them to play this way so they collapse in on Yao relentlessly. I also think that this team may end up missing Snyder more than we originally thought because he had the size and strength to go inside.

Are there any news from Yao, it looks like this kid feels very sad. Normally, we can hear something from him after every game, but this time....

WOW! 36 three point attempts. 9-26 from T-Mac. 11 field goal attempts from yao. Raefer jacking up 9 threes??

I think the Suns are the toughest team for us to match up with. Luckily they play like the worst defense in the NBA.

I liked it when our young squad came into the game. That's the only chance we got at beating the Run N Gun Suns.
