Anyone think Van Gundy would reconsider having Steve Francis on the team and view him as an upgrade and trade Rafer Alston to New York (assuming the trade would work out from a salary perspective, which it probably wouldn't straight up)? How about Rafer & Juwann for Stevie F? Isiah has made a few questionable trades in the past, why not 1 more?
A gutsy comback in the third, some horrid shooting (over the years this is getting so old) and an empty tank at the end. Pretty well sums it up. The recent brickfests remind me so much of last year especially. The long periods of "can't buy a bucket" are soooooo frustrating. They just wear you out. Until the Rockets improve their outside shooting you can forget about contender status. Professional players should be able to shoot better than this. Might as well just drive on every play whether the lane is clogged or not. The percentage has got to be better than below 20% on outside shots.
he didn't set novak or billy up correctly?? your kidding right? are we talking defensively or offensively, both? they are both parts of the games. regardless, i fail to see how jvg setup up billy wrong on that stupid buzzer beating foul he committed. or novaks numerous failed box outs and blown assignments that gave yao cheap fouls to get him into foul trouble which severely hurt our chances of winning. i was hoping for an actual intelligent reply with examples from tonights game perhaps. instead your reply is something i would expect from the president of the billy and novack fan clubs. maybe as president of their fan clubs, you should buy them magic's fundamentals of basketball. i saw a commercial on nbatv during the game.
It was nice knowing you rook. NOT!!! Seriously. Learn to put atleast two sentences together and then your post MIGHT...just MIGHT start to make some sense. My garbage-meter just blew a chunk and the arrows are pointing to your baby cradle.
I might be desperate enough to take that chance....I don't mind Rafer's 3 pt shots when he is open, but he shoots WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too much for a PG, and he can not finish his drives..... DD
That's right. You the moron. See, Amare declared himself healthy. His doctors declared himself healthy. The Suns declared himself healthy. He's not healthy because...? Yes microfracture is a tough injury which would affect a player's game. But if a microfracture takes away all your "skills," chances are you didn't have much to begin with, and was only relying on your atheleticism.
Francis has a max contract, the Rockets couldn't afford him if they wanted him, which they probably don't.
We need a PG who is not a ball stopper and hits threes e.g. mike bibby (although he's making shots this season).
Battier a no factor again. I don't care about intangibles. I want to see results on the board. We really gave away a first rounder
Solid, one of the things that jumps out at me is that no one in our backcourt, including McGrady, went to the line. Yao was 6 of 8, and no one else went to the line more than twice. Unreal. Where was the penetration? As Clutch pointed out, when did we decide we were living or dying from behind the arc? What a mess. They'll be watching a hell of a lot of film after this loss.
did you even read his/my post??? my comment and his reply never stated novak/bill were the reason we lost. on the contrary, i replied to everyone who thinks novak/bill were the reason we lost because they didn't play enough. please... and try to read the post, it helps.
Talking about replacing Reefer at PG. How about Bob Sura? If he gets healthy, he should be the PG, the Rox played their best with Sura as the PG, 2 yrs ago. He is a much smarter player than Reefer.
New York just basically ate Jalen Rose's contract ($15M or so) and owes former coach Larry Brown 18.5M (or so), so apparently money isn't the object. The Knicks might be agreeable to assume part of Francis' salary; heck, even Francis might be willing to defer part of his salary to escape the situation in New York. Having Marbury, Francis, Jamal Crawford, Quentin Richardson, and Nate Robinson on the same team -- and only 1 basketball -- isn't a good thing. I can't see the Knicks keeping both Starbury and Francis.
i dont know why im wasting my time replying......but lets say that i do agree with you.....yao is trash and amare is god.......so what???? amare wouldnt have been the 1st pick regardless. id ont know what you're trying to prove...
