i think physically he is done and everyone in the rox organisation knew it but just won't say anything for some obvious reasons.

I could see why JVG would try to spark the offense by starting Novak, but did it backfire on him? I wonder if compensating for Novak on defense was a reason for Yao picking up those two quick fouls.

I thought Phoenix did a pretty good job on Yao. On offense, I saw quite a few times when Yao was forced to trail the Suns center out of the paint, and then as soon as he was out, a Suns player with the ball would drive towards the hoop for a layup or a foul.

The bottom line is that we need T-Mac to pick it up pronto, otherwise this team is going nowhere

Exactly. Repost REpost REPost REPOst REPOSt RESPOST!!!!!

You keep reposting Yao until that mack truck is 5 feet from the hoop.

Everytime they repost Yao good things happen.

I seriously want to get a CAT scan of Rafer's head. Last 2 games I have seen him with the ball and Yao in the post...and he looked at Yao and calmly looked away and dribbled to the other side.

    WTH!!!!!!

This guy came here as a pass first true PG???

Add to that whenever he drives to the basket he makes the most boneheaded decisions. He will always most certainly miss the layup one the drive ir get blocked.

    I ask you this...

HOW HARD IS IT TO DRIVE AND DISH TO YAO FOR AN OPEN LOOK???

If Rockets had some of Suns penetrators on this team, Yao would be averaging 35 points a game from his couch in his living room!

no matter yao fouls or not, rox will never win over suns at all. because JVG doesn't have right game plan.

You might think T-mac was hurt most of last season so he should be good and rested now, but it doesn't look that way. I thought it was rust to begin with, but now I'm worried he's going into a swift decline.

DD I agree man I can't understand why JVG insists on playing these guys big minutes on a back to back. The bench boys should have played way more tonight to give the Rockets a chance.

JVG does not trust all of his players and that's a major problem.

Um, because we'd be worse off if we didn't let Yao defend the PnR.

Jeff actually pointed this out before I did. We are a collapsing D. We NEVER WERE good defending outside shots. When Yao shows on the PnR, he at least make the opposing player think twice about shooting, and give our player time to recover.

If he doesn't show, we just gave up another wide open shot when we already give up plenty.

Sorry ass loss, but I will say this, I think the Rockets showed a lot of heart tonite, something recent Rocket teams have not had. Plus, if some one would have given me 10-5 to start the season, I would have taken it. I think this team had a chance to make a statement and they fell short, but they proved they belong with the big dogs in the WC.

Until we beat one of the big dogs, we don't belong with the big dogs. Sad but true. And that Dallas game doesn't count because they're a totally different team now than they were in their first 4 or 5 games.

this was barbasso, he was KILLING the rockets tonight. his penetration was deadly.

nash is GREAT, those passes in the 4th quarter opened up the game.

as far as phoenix doing a good job on yao, i disagree, the rockets did a good job on yao by not giving him the ball

So T-mac got REFRESHED with 1 min left and made 3 in a row right??????????????????????????

BTW, I didn't say Novak or Billy cost us the game. What I am saying is it's not all JVG's fault that they are not getting more minutes. TBH, I believe Novak should have been put in 6 min to go when T-mac and Rafer went nuts. Read carefully before swearing please.

That's the typical response one would expect from a moron like you when he's getting owned.

OK, Yao didn't leave Amare in the dust. He's just having an MVP season while doing better in every category, but especially the win column.

Is that better for moronic little twerps like you?

i'm not down on this game because i didn't expect us to have a great chance of winning it. it was probably a mistake to start novak, not because he hasn't really played, but because hayes has been so good. we're stilll a work in progress and like jopatmc said a lot of things we've been doing wrong are very correctable.

You're free to make your point, but all your posts are full of "moron", "idiot", and "stupid".

You really need to tone it down a bit, just make your point without offending others.
