all you novak and billy lovers really piss me off!!!!!

how in the hell is it jvg's fault that novak can't do anything on a basketball floor except shoot 3's? how in the hell is it jvg's fault that when billy gets the ball, he goes into ADD mode?

get real!!! you and all the other dumb@ss people who want to retire bill's and novaks jerseys and elect them into the hall need to shut-up and quit polluting this board making it unbearable to read.

every top drafted rookie in the league who had more credentials then these two combined are being broken in slowly. and i don't think jvg coaches those guys either. look and morrison, bargnani, gay, roy, foye, etc.... are either brought off the bench or play limited roles. and fyi... i'd take any of those guys over bill and novak. most rockets fans would.

anyway, just recently morrison, bargnani, and foye have started to have some big games. well i guess it does take everyone time to adjust to the nba game just like these guys have experienced.

let's play the vets and let the rooks learn their nba games with limited playing time(getting now) and practice instead of throwing them out there to get crushed or embarassed and ruin their careers before they start.

and another thing, don't forget that not only do rooks have to get used to the nba game but they need to get used to the nba schedule which can be a bigger hurddle for some guys.

just relax and enjoy the good start to the rockets season(best since 15-1 start).

All this talk about T-Mac's body not letting him do things he wants to do. His body having miles on it has nothing to do with jumpshots, if he had his 20 ft jumpshot going like 04 or even 05, he would be killing teams, mixed in with the occasional drive. Look at Jordan, later in his career he went to the fadeaway and murdered teams. That is what D-Wade will do, his body has been punished in his career so far, he will have to stop and go to the jump shots.

One thing I will say is T-Mac really looked slow tonight. Hopefully it was the combo of the abdomen/back-to-back games. He was pretty flat-footed all night.

I put down to being rierd. we had a really physical clash last night. however, 38 3's IS A DISGRACEFULL STAT. the Suns are a renound 3 point shooting team and took half the number of our attempts.

Got to remember that T-mac has a lot of years on his body. I know it's been said before but he came into the NBA straight out of high school. These guys will not play until they are in their mid 30's like the pros of the past.

I hope he finishes out his current contract, and helps the Rockets win it all before he retires.

Um no. Yao is an amazing PnR defender for a big man, especially when most don't even try.

Although his slow footedness sometimes mean he doesn't get back under the basket, that wasn't the case tonight.

Tonight it was all foul trouble. For example, when Barbarossa drove in off the PnR, on many occasions Yao actually caught up to him. The problem was they'll call another pathetic foul on him, so he just put his hands up.

Hell, he might as well do the playground thing of clapping your hand in mid-air.

Well he does think that Rafer was our best player tonight. I mean the man went 6-17 and had as many assists as our center, which is very good if you think about it...and are on crack.

Careful. Let's not confuse Amare this season (still recovering from serious surgery) with the pre-injury version who was a dominant scorer and defender (ask Tim Duncan about that playoff series several years ago). Recovering from micro surgery takes time, and few (if any) players have ever fully recovered to their pre-injury abilities.

That's like saying the Bonzi Wells who made a cameo appearance in 2 games this season ($1M per game average thus far -- not bad for 15 minutes of "work") is the same one who scared the crap out of the Spurs in the playoffs last year.

Amares impact no where near yaos? I IMAGINE its because hes getting reacclimated with the game after having microfracture surgery lol and as you can see "hes almost there".......and as for u saying amares stats are no where near yaos? DO YOUR RESEARCH NOOB, B/C this is definitely the first season yao is avg'ing 26 pts. Amare did that when yao was still getting 18ppg........lol just cause your a rockets fan, dont discredit the next teams superstar by saying stupid comments like amare cant hold yaos jockstrap?!.......lmao GROW UP AND say things that actually make sense

That is not his best. This is called stupid. 9/26 shoting? This is not the first time we saw this. What the hell to shot more than 20?

Yao only get 6 boards? and we are outrebounded by 36 to 55. Yao was totally overplayed by Stoudemire.

I wish that the Rowdies would start chanting....(in Houston of course)

    ZONE...ZONE...ZONE.....we love the ZONE..ZONE...ZONE.....

Which would stop the Suns cold but whatever.

There is noway yao should be spending his ******* valuable energy chasing anyone around on defense. he is our most valuable asset. we need him parked in the paint on defense. on offense to.

Agree! JVG don't teach Novak to play crap defence or Billy to foul buzzer-beating jumper shooters. They sit for a reason. JVG may not get the best out of some players. But when a guy sucks, he knows.

Looks like I'll be wasting a lot of time tonight, but I'm going to go through this thread and toss all the rooks causing problems. Registration has been disabled for a while, in case you're wondering.

I know it's not always easy, but the goal is atleast somewhat intelligent discussion.

Doesn't matter if the guards don't re-post Yao. AFAIK, the coupla times they did repost Yao, he got good position the second time around and scored on baby hooks. Not coincidentally, we made our run only to lose it when we went away from the middle.
