Against this Suns team, you never know. Keep at it. Just dont get crazy with them becuase they are crazier. The lakers beat them by sticking to the game plan chipping away litlte by little and won in the end by 10 pts.
Nash flies by anyone like nothing. Rafer is better than Head. Head only feed off Tmac and shot 3s which will not go in unless it's the 4th quarter for some reasons.
Hoho are we watching the same game? Two of Yao's fouls are because of Amare, plus Amare is scoring n rebounding much better than Yao, I hate to say that, but yes, Yao is OWNED by Amare now.
What are you talking about? Don't you realize that just about anyone on this board is more qualified to coach than Van Gundy. I hope this disaster helps the "Play Novak" and "Play V-Span" crowd to realize that there are reasons why they aren't getting much playing time, and those reasons should be obvious now.
I'm not one to blame JVG like many of the other posters on this board, but I've got to say that it seems as though JVG decided to approach this game (or at least the first half) as basically a scrimmage. He probably realized that coming off a tough game last night and going against a Phoenix team that had 3 days off, we'd probably lose. So after getting an early sense of whether Phoenix was going to start out shooting cold (in which case, he might have treated this game seriously), he decided to throw everybody in and give them a shot. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but it's hard to blame the players for playing awfully tonight since he's not really coaching them but rather throwing them all against a wall and seeing what sticks.
t-mac's jumpshot is not at the apex, but always on the way down i don't know why he can't be more fluid and release the shot at the apex, thus having the most stability and control, and not have gravity work against you
rockets shooting 37.2....... thats not going to cut it against anyone. Wasn't this the problem we had last year when we were the gawd-awfulest shooting team in the NBA?
I'm just so tired of VanDummy, I closed my eyes and imagine having a coach that is actually knows how to coach!
Don't worry!!! This is all part of a new strategy. Instead of getting 20 point leads and letting the other team get back into the game, we now do the opposite. We let the other team be up by 20 and then come back. I think I like the old plan better...
Nothing wrong with pick and roll, but relying on outside shooting against the suns is a mistake on the players part. Tmac not feelin good is not helpful, and yao out makes it hard, but expect the rox to take advantage early in the third and get this within 10 rather quickly.
I'm only following the box score, so my question is genuine...Is Amare being double or triple teamed off the ball?
We did it by shredding their awful defense in the 2nd half. We were down by 14 in the 3rd quarter and almost crumbled but we came back and won the game 127-107. If Yao keeps fouling, we will lose by 30. If he plays well, it will be respectable.
The sad thing is its only a 17 pt lead. The suns rountinely give up big leads like this on a night to night basis. The question is whether the rockets have the know how or the heart to come back.
Question is are you watching the same game? Most of the open shots for Rockets were created by Yao. They doubled him as soon as he entered the post. Amare has been getting point blank feeds from Nash off of pick and roll. Difference is Suns role players are making their shots. Rockets role players are stinking up Arizona.
