There is no chance in hell that Steve and AB get the majority of the minutes. There is a relatively low chance (unless we get blown out), that AB will get any minutes at all. Hopefully we can knock down open jumpers, contest their jump shots, and play good transition D. We do those 3 things we will be in the game.
Predictions: Yao will have a bad game T-Mac will play decent Rafer will brick every shot Francis makes an appearance Scola put up big numbers Mutumbo will turn the clock backwards yet again Sub-par performance all around Suns 112 Rockets 104
You are absolutely, totally, and completely CORRECT! But prepare to see the same ole tired lineup we have seen all year. And watch us get blown out. I am with you, I would get radical, because this is a L waiting to happen. Why not go for broke. If it works, we have a new starter or two. If it doesn't we will have the same result we would have had anyway.
Need to get FTs, slows the Suns down by lessening transition opportunities for them and getting key players in trouble. Marion and Amare are the most difficult to match up for the Rockets - speed/quickness advantage over our bigs Guys like Bonzi & Steve needs to play more as they have the ability to attack the basket.
Against teams like suns and warriors, Yao is our biggest advantage but he is also the biggest disadvantage. In order to maximize our strength and minimize weakness, the key is to control the tempo. If Adelman thinks we can outscore the Suns by playing run and gun, then we probably going to lose as the Suns simply have more firepower than the Rockets!
hmm- in other words: yao is gonna suck tmac decent? rafer goes 0-15? yep- Rockets will put up 104.. although i agree that a lose is eminent, your prediction is illogical to say the least.
This one is so easy to predict. Rockets will go head to head with the suns in the first half. We will either lead or trail by a couple of points at half time. The suns will blow it open in the third and will have a 15+ point lead heading into the 4th. We will make a run midway through the 4th to get within 5-7 points. We will trade buckets back and forth with the Suns and couldn't cut into the deficit. Soon, when the clock hits the 1 min mark, and its too late and we will lose by ~10 points. 97-114 Suns win.
I think this link will work around game time, not sure though... http://broadband.nba.com/cc/playa.p...00_nba-league_pass_phoenix_051201.asx&gid=217
