Paul brought great stability, Ryan, Tucker and Ariza were our underrated heros. Nene looked good out there. The Suns did a good job on the P/R with Capela, that's why we need another front court scorer off the bench. Zhou did great with his shot blocking. He definitely needs to gets stronger and quicker, it was nice to see him on the low block with good foot work. He will get better in time. He should be able to make an impact after 1 year. Edit reason: Capitalization of he in the last sentence.
haha I didn't see the post game video between harden and cp3. Cp3 comment cracked me up. He's right though! That's weak!
He's shooting 56% on 2's. If his three point shot were on as well it'd be a bit crazy. I'm not worried about his slump, he's a pure shooter and it'll come around eventually.
When he gains confidence, strength, and especially when the game slows down for him (in his head), I think we will see his impact skyrocket. To quote an old friend, "His ceiling is through the roof."
I think CP3 is going to help Ryno a lot. Harden is a great passer but CP3 is an elite passer with great handles. With Harden, Ryno usually stands 30 feet away from the basket to try and give Harden more space. When Ryno does get the ball, most of the time it's a cross-court pass and by the time the ball gets there, the defender has time to recover and Ryno ends up shooting a 30 footer with a hand in his face. With CP3, Ryno knows he is a pass-first PG and because of CP3's dribbling ability, he does not need to be 30 feet away from the basket. He can move to open spaces based on where CP3 goes. The passes from CP3 to Ryno are much closer distance wise and Ryno is able to catch and shoot from a closer distance as well. For Ryno, I think there is not much drop-off percentage wise from 25' to 28' but beyond that, the percentage drops pretty quickly. I know it's just one game against the Suns, but it will be fun to see how much CP3 can elevate everyone's game.
also angles of cp3 passes to rhyno were different if i recall well they were more conducive to accurate shooting
Chris Paul just makes things easier for everybody. I think that's his biggest contribution. Whether it's scoring, assist, defense or even rebounding, things just run smoother with him out there EG shot the ball HORRIBLE last night. But I didn't even notice because the game ran so smooth with Paul out there. doing everything. Hopefully he can have the same effect against the elite teams. The Rockets can be very scary if CP figures it out
I keep looking at the next game and thinking.... the Grizzlies? AGAIN?? Haha, I know It and have known it, but man we gotta spread this sht out.
Maybe it's a byproduct of scoring 142 points, but CP3 was right about our defense being horrible. For awhile I was just happy to see us get a single stop. Something's not right because we've been absolutely torched two games in a row now by non-elite teams. It's bothersome because Portland is 3rd in defensive efficiency with the worst defensive backcourt in basketball and the Spurs are 5th despite not having Leonard. If we're to challenge GS at all we're going to need a top five defense.
Wow... we were 35/38 from the FT line. Everyone was perfect except Capelllllllla. It was nice to see Ryno have a big game too!
CP3 was impressive, and with the oops, consider the possibility that the oops will become more prevalent. We don't have enough of the easy buckets, but allegedly (EARS ARE OFF, k?) there's a great fellow in the valley who is now expendable, wants out (has a small list and MGMT is talking buy-out. Blame Moose for making him expendable. xo
Don't fret, everything fits between the lines. Who is Moose and why is he a better option in the Valley? Expendable, serviceable player have ambitions for certain cities and players to ball with. #TC
Just a word going around. MDA likes insurance. You need Clint and NeNe all year. Ne broke down when we needed him. Clint needs some experienced help, even if this "rumor" doesn't go through. Moose is the juice though.
