Critical judgement incoming for Adelman...how long will he go with the Battriza lineup to start the fourth? Hopefully not long.
You cant blame anything on Trevor tonight he is actually shooting decent compared to what he has been doing.
We need to run more plays for Budinger off the ball coming from the 18-20 ft range. He is always money on those shots.
Something about Ariza bothers me. And it's not just his shooting, his complete lack of handles, shot selection, over-gambling defense, etc. It's his personality. I'm not quite sure he has one. The rest of the guys on the team all make sense - they fit. They appear to be friends, to have fun together, to truly enjoy playing the game they love together and evidently (based on some tweets) even hanging out together. If you've been to a game and seen the movie night trivia thing they do during time outs you've seen it - that chemistry, that camaraderie . It's one of those things that makes this team special and at least partially leads to their success. However, Ariza is just...there. Most of the time he just seems some weird and slightly awkward combination of sullen, confused, and maybe even a bit depressed. I'm not convinced he understands the team dynamic either on or off the court, or how they influence each other. Perhaps his time in LA has him jaded and thinking that your teammates are simply coworkers and nothing more - something to be tolerated rather than befriended. Until he figures that out I'm not sure he'll ever really fit or gel with this team and the ultimately the team will suffer for it. Actually, they already are. Sadly, I'm not sure he'll ever figure it out.
It is a shame that our bench has to save our ass in every game, it works differently for 29 other teams.
The second unit guys played some good D. Lowry of course but also Andersen and Budinger. Lowry and Andersen did a good job keeping Nash and Frye from setting up a Frye 3-pointers.
Hopefully Battier will start a in depth 12 minute debate with Ariza regarding intangibles right now...
