I know that what I'm about to say is heresy, but here goes...it's pretty clear that bringing Battier and Ariza into the game greatly decreases our efficiency. However, maybe (just maybe) there's a reason why Adelman does it. First of all, our bench, which is one of the most productive in the Association, needs rest in order to do what they do. There is no way the bench (specifically Kyle Lowry and Carl Landry) could do what they do if they played 30+ minutes per game. Therefore, when they do come in, they can focus on going all out. Another reason why I think Adelman puts these two seemingly terrible "defensive-minded" players out there is to give the other team a different look and throw them off their game, and maybe adjust to that. Then, when we do put in our explosive bench, it will take time for them to adjust, during which time we can catch up/expand our lead. This said, there is NO POSSIBLE EXPLANATION for why Adelman puts them in at the end of the half and end of the game. Seriously? just my $0.02.
i think chase can do that all day long. ariza is just our biggest signing and the team feels justified to play him despite his struggles. until we go on a long losing streak, don't expect ariza to change.
We can't fall in love with the outside shot. The Suns' defense is porous. We need to get into the paint.
I love Chase Budinger. I wish we could start him for the rest of the season. It's a joy watching the offense look so smooth with him in the game.
And the rockets come out in the 3rd quarter with their stagnant offense, and the rockets lead continues to get eaten up.
Maybe we're all being a bit to harsh on Ariza. He's really so amazing that he sucks now and then just to see what it feels like.
How can Aldeman get mad? Scola is playing like garbage and we have three other offensively challenged people starting... What does he expect?
