He is the future PG alright but knowing Pop's track record, I can see him going with Mills because Harden will absolutely torch the guy at this stage of his development. He's not in the same league defensively as is Mills and thus would be more vulnerable to all of the little "tricks" that Harden employs to get to the FT line. He'll play some but I expect the lion's share of the PG minutes to be divided between Mills, Ginobili and Leonard.

Rockets didn't need to win this game and they played like it. Pathetic effort defensively and on the glass. When old-ass Ginobili is outhustling you for rebounds then you know they aren't giving 100%. Really frustrating to watch. Now we need to win both games at home.

The only thing I know is I still hate the Spurs as much as I hated them back in the 90s. This last game did not go well late and we trailed throughout. I expect us to shoot and play better at home. San Antonio missing Parker doesn't guarantee anything...but it should help.

Crappy game, but you have to believe the team will bounce back from this. We knew they would adjust and play better, they're a 60 win team. Now it's our turn to step up.

    Lol. Blame the refs.

One of the ways not to win a championship.

I've gone to both games this series and have had a blast. Spurs fans talk a lot of trash, when all me and my girlfriend are doing is supporting the team. Very hostile. Ryno made a three and I was cheering and a spurs fan in front of me turned around and said "you're really annoying" and I said "how's that?" and he said "you're yelling too much" and I said "you are at game 2 of the rockets vs spurs, both teams who haven't played in the playoffs since the 90s. You're not yelling enough!".

Anyways, me and my gf live in Austin. We are trying to decide whether to drive to houston for game 3 or just buy tickets for game 5 when the series will either be 3-1 or 2-2. Should we get tickets to both games or just Tuesdays back in SA? It's really fun being in hostile territory to be honest.

This may sound crazy.................................But Harden at times looks like he's throwing the game or point shaving. This isn't the first time I've thought this. It started in the OKC Finals and has continued his whole time as a Rocket. Every superstar has turnovers. But the type of passes he does and the lack of effort in which he plays concerns me. I've never seen a superstar play with so little effort at times

You don't know that. But you do know that blaming the refs isn't going to win you a championship, don't you?

Occasionally throughout the season I tune in to the opponents broadcast of the game. And I also watch the games. Our team has been the beneficiary of favourable officiating way more than it has been the victim of poor officiating. You know, the other guys have replay too. And when Harden his under and through defenders they replay those vids over and over. They holler offensive foul over and over. They replay video of every uncalled hack, slack, and bump that Beverley gets away with. And a lot of the time they have a great argument. Both Harden and Bev are very often officiated by their reputation, not by what they actually do. That's common on every team. Tony Allen commits about 8 fouls a game but only gets called for about half of them.

I knew it's frustrating when the game is close and we get a bad call. I've griped about it over and over in previous seasons when we were where the Grizz are now, getting rooked because we weren't expected to win, and our opponent was. But this season......simply not the case. We've had much more favourable officiating than bad officiating.

if you really believe the officiating has not been biased against houston in every game since our 30pt drubbing of OKC in the opener, this might be the last time i ever waste my time replying to you.

this is the only adjustment they needed to make and it worked. every time they put Kawai on Harden in the regular season the spurs won.

I never understood this "hate" for the Spurs unless you "hated" them for being successful. Last night they showed a graphic where the Spurs under Pop have beaten every team in the West in the playoffs save for the Rockets during the 2000s. The last time the two teams met during the playoffs was the mid-90s during the Houston championship run and that simply amazes me. There's a reason for this and it has more to do with the Rockets than anything. So I don't hate the Spurs at all - in fact I wish that the Rockets possessed the same type of organization as does the Spurs. Hating the Spurs for winning is a waste of time - about as much a waste as hating the Patriots for winning.

We've got to get their bigs away from the rim next game. I think we should start Ryan at center, Trevor at power forward, EGo at small forward, Patrick at the two and Harden at the one. We can't play the whole game like that, but we also can't let them own the rim and clog the paint. That was the biggest issue for us last game. If we don't do that, we need to slide Clint to the baseline and have Ryan do his stretching the floor from 35 feet thing he does. Layups will break this Spurs team down.

I was unable to watch the game did they switch or just trap Harden? If they trapped that explains Andersons game, if they switched James should have got more layups and or free throws.

they trapped, they switched, and they went under, and they even tried to go over. they kept him guessing. Exactly what you expect Greg Popovich to do when he's desperate

The Spurs game plan was to take out the head of the snake Harden and expect others to beat them. Their sole focus on defense was Harden. Really disappointed in Lou, Ariza and others for not stepping up.Having said that, the Spurs wont shoot like that to often and we probably wont play that bad again. People need to calm down. We will eventually wear them down.
