To people saying who cares and it’s just one game, just no. It’s not about the loss, it’s about how you lose. This and the Suns game are a bad sign if these habits continue: lack of focus, careless passes, late on defense, little resistance on defense, getting out hustled, whining to the referees like there’s no tomorrow etc. I’m not too worried yet, but Harden cannot afford to lose the group in these last few games. He’s our leader so needs to continue to stay focused and play as if his life depended on it, then the rest will surely follow! MDA, please don’t go easy on them, they deserve to be reprimanded.
Highlights from the game.....................................Capela going 5-6 from the free throw line
The depth at point guard of the Spurs is more than the Rockets have. Their Point Guards have youth, constant slashing, our basketball teams weakness is backup Point Guard depth. Daryl is constantly ignoring by not signing Point Guard only Shooting Guard, no backup Point Guard is going to hurt. Dejounte Murray, Bryn Forbes, Tony Parker, Patty Mills. Quin Cook of Warriors, Terry Rozier of Celtics, all these Point Guards are Great Shooters. Dejounte and Tony are midrange shooters.
GEEZ you're dense, lol. The whole sky is falling thing you guys do is played out. There's truth and then there's lie. The lie is that the Rockets will no longer know how to win because they are taking it easy before the playoffs. The truth is playoff and finals teams usually rest and take it easy before the playoffs this is nothing new, another truth is that the Rockets in reality are like 30 and 3 a in the last 33 games and you're crying about bad habits in a meaningless game, if you were coach the whole team would be injured playing against the likes of the Suns and Spurs lol. You're looking at the glass as empty in a season where the Rockets have won more than any other Rockets team in history.. relax.
Basically same kind of effort we saw against Suns and Pistons, different outcome cause today we actually played a real nba team...eh, whatever i guess. At least there's a better chance that OKC loses one spot. Ah yeah, the team was trash overall but holy ****, Ryan and Joe together...man, they were absolutely horrible, i hope we will never see that frontcourt in the playoff.
lol so 48 minutes of Harden and Paul at pg isn't enough ? there are no minutes for a back up point guard
As a leader you cannot just mail it in last few games of the season and then expect it to be fine in the playoffs.
Yup, D'Antoni just said that basically James Harden is getting TOO MUCH rest and it is hurting his rhythm.
That's why James shouldve been sat a couple games ago - and kept out for a week n a half to 2 weeks - then brought back with 3 or 4 games left in the reg season to get his groove back...
Can't win em all, doesn't take away from the historically amazing season these guys have had, sometimes perspective is key. I know the recency bias is real and I have not liked the effort the past few games but let's not forget we have the best record in the league & just came off an 11 game winning streak. I do hope that Harden finds his shot tho because those 3's are a vital part of his game & this teams.
thing is... u wanna rest 'em and then have 2-3 games to bring em back to get in rhythm again... not rest em for the end so they start the playoffs cold... but what do i know... im just a reg person - and MDA is a 'genius' - lol.
Good loss tbh. Give the Spurs a win so their will be less likelihood of playing them in the playoffs.
