We have a system and we have collected players for that system. You need a playmaker at certain times in the game, thats why we have Lowry as backup.

Next year Brooks is the third or fourth, maybe even fifth option. That is good enough.

Isiash was way better than AB on defense, one of the bad boys, and also happened to be the Piston's all time stealing leader when he retired.

i just get frustrated when AB drives into the teeth of the defense and expects something good to happen, almost always it's the reverse

He just doesn't have the vision. It's not his fault. He's been groomed to be a scorer all his career.

We just need to sign Manu for next season ;)

He has tremendous basketball IQ, he just has a lot to learn yet because he is inexperienced. He's made great strides this season already; if you can't see it, you need to go back and rewatch a handful of the early season games.

How about Derek Fisher? He's a championship pass first PG.

    Defense.

Can Aaron Brooks and Kevin Martin play it?

I'll fish some more, Has there ever been a weaker backcourt in the history of the NBA?

Can we bulk up enough in our frontline to overcome that?

I understnand that. Nobody on this team is consistent enough except Scola/Battier. My reply meant there is no guarantee that we'd gain ground if RA put AB in early. In fact, it was likely we'd lose more ground today.

Tiny was probably a worse defender that Brooks, he was simply bad on defense. What he could do was flat out score...

Brooks does need to improve on defense, he is slightly below average for the position (defense league wide is BAD at the point). I think he will get better, but will never be a good defender. Lets not forget he will look far better with a 7'6" center in the lane.

I still do not think that Aaron Brooks will be the Rockets starting point guard in 12 months. Very possible he is packaged for another star player. He is a very attractive asset around the league because of his age and production.

he can score other ways instead of taking into the tall trees

I've seen it enough to know he's not learning fast enough, he keeps doing the same stuff, seems like he's too boneheaded at times
