I'm starting to realize that we probably only got back into this game because the Spurs decided to take it easy, and play softer defense in the 3rd.

As soon as they upped the intensity again, you guys just saw what happened.

    19-2 run.

Stupid shots and forced shots. God, McGrady and Dikembe are the only ones who want to win.

Utterly horrendous... the offense has been completely sloppy today... the team should be ashamed.

Actually none of the Spurs were able to hit a shot in the 3rd quarter now they came in the fourth and no one can miss a shot.

Parker was 2-8 and now he's hitting his shots...Barry is nailing 3's all over the place and we can't asnwer....

Normally, that equates to good defense.

but you would think when u get paid like 20 dollars a second to be on the court, there would be soo much more hustle, like the spurs did today.

u have to give it to the spurs, they played much harder today than we did, that and mcgrady isn't willing to drive cause of his leg i think.

We are absolutely pathetic!!! I know this is only one game, but this game right here shows me that we do not have what it takes to win it all this year. Time and time again we have shown to be ineffective to put games away. We get complacent and when our shots arent falling we have nobody to turn to to get out of the slumps.
Also, what happened to the days earlier this year when we were saying how good the Rockets had become at not getting many TO's and also a high number of assists. What have we averaged the last couple of weeks or so? Well, we have 13 asts and 16 TURNOVERS for crying out loud. Who do we expect to beat with numbers like that? And like i said, this is something i have noticed, not only in this game but in recent weeks.

    BLOODY PATHETIC!!!!

I will keep my original reply to your initial comment:

As for the game, yes it is over.

They will just put EVERYONE on McGrady and force someone else to beat them. How could they not? They would be stupid not to.

AND they are making their outside shots now, we aren't.

AND refs are not calling anything inside.

That is why Spurs are champs material, and we ain't. Plain and simple.

Their whole team got hot all at the same time...while all of ours stayed cold...

McGrady held them off while the rest of the spurs were struggling and now they are all hitting so it's kind of hard to do on his own

This game is definitely frustrating. Imagine what things would have been like had T-Mac *not* played? He knew better, that's why he's out there broken down. It is a shame.

Most NBA teams have the type of players to play great defense... but they rarely do because scoring, shooting, and dunks are more sexy.

Top to bottom, Phoenix probably has more athletic and better one-on-one defenders than either San Antonio or Houston... but the latter two teams are the premier defensive teams in the league because they actually care about that, and they know that it can win you games alone.

Hey... remmeber when we were leading 60-55, and Deke blew the easy dunk to put us up 7? That clearly woke the Spurs up.
