Tmac will not play and may rest for a few more games. Bad bad news. Their bench are defi and absolu better than our starters (excpt yao and tmac) So no way to steal this one. Hope Stro and Jh step up. DW hits all his 3s. Spurs whole team sucks, then we maybe maybe have a little chance. Any way, I just want to see our Rox play with heart. Go Rockets
My prediction for this game: Tony Parker will up his FG% average for the season from around 50% to 75%, shattering Wilt Chamberlain's 100 points-in-a-game record on his way to league MVP. Meawhile, Rafer Alston continues his marvelous play with 8 assists on the night.
I think JVG should take a risk and try sticking Bogans on Parker. Alston's quickness won't stop him anyway. TP gets frustrated by bigger bodies, this strategy worked when LeBron shadowed him. I really think Parker is key, much like everyone else here. The cav's won 101-87 with parker playing crap. James covered Tony Parker, the Western Conference player of the week, for most of the night and Parker struggled, shooting 2-for-7 for four points with four assists and seven turnovers. "A lot of teams like to put a bigger player on me," Parker said. "A lot of times, I backed him off but didn't hit the shot. I've got to hit the shots. That was from the recap. I think JVG should at least try Bogans on him.
Rockets have not won a regular season game in San Antonio in the Duncan Era. It's not going to happen this Sunday either. Rockets 83 Spurs 99
Why do I have a feeling that Yao will carry us to a victory against the champs? Oh yeah! He's 7'6" . JK. I don't know about the Rockets, but Yao is going to commit murder on the low block against Nazr...
Yikes! Not a good team to face right now. I'm going to be realistic, we're going to lose. But if we win, these will have been the keys: 1) Keep tony parker out of the paint. Pressuring him everywhere he goes is the only way to stop him. 2) Grab the rebounds. If step 1 is followed they'll be taking long jumpers. As long as we keep them from getting a boatload of offensive boards, we got a shot. 3) Let Yao dominate. He's our only offense. He must get people into foul trouble along the way. Pump fake and jump into people, big man! You shoot 83%+ from the FT line. Foul these suckas out! Shanghai Spin! Shanghai Shake! Kung Fu Chop to Duncan's thoat!
Sunday road game, viewing party anyone? BW3? Live? Should we get out of our comfort zone and find another sportsbar to watch the game at? Anyway, unless someone says otherwise, I'll probably be heading to Live sunday around 1 and catch some of the early game, then go and watch the Rockets take on the Spurs.
So is it confirmed that T-Mac will be out for a while? This is very bad news. We are finished. 98-73 Spurs. Lampe gets some running time.
Swift is going to be the man of the hour. He will be the matchup the Spurs weren't ready for. Rockets win by 10.
After our game with San Antonio we will know exactly where we stand. It will show us exactly what sort of team we are and if we really do have the talent to make it into the playoffs and beyond. If we win this one it will be the defining moment of change and will give the team enough confidence to make the playoffs. If the LA Clippers can do it WE CAN as we are better than the Clippers....Go Rockets!!!!
