Check out the ESPN highlights. 3 out of the 4 highlights were people scoring over Yao and the commentator points that out with glee despite the fact that each time Yao was only trying to help a teammate that was beat. If someone only saw the espn highlights, they probably came away thinking Yao sucked big time and lost this game for us.

Not as bad as I thought. But we don't have a legitimate 2nd score option and they have, even 3rd and 4th and 5th ... And we even had a chance!

It's not that negative outcome. Really hope for the next game.

How does one get dunked on when there is no contact?

Redick is going to be a GOOD NBA player, you do not average 26ppg in college and not be able to score the ball.

He is exactly the type of heady, good shooting player, that would fit in with a Yao and Tmac run squad.

Unfortunately JVG wants defensive stalwarts, and I don't think JJ is that.

He is a 6'4" SG who can shoot lights out...

He will have a fine NBA career, especially if he gets to a team with a good system and PG.

    I saw this too...

If there was any doubt in my mind that there was a bias against Yao it has now been erased.

When Yao had a 38 pt 10 reb 5 block night, it didn't even make it on Sportscenter, and now the "highlights" are Yao getting dunked on and the commentator pointing it out with so much enjoyment. No mention of Yao's 25 point 10 rebound game either...

Redick would be our Barry. And how badly could we use a healthy, young Barry right about now.

I don't think the highlights were that bad... actually they seemed pretty typical. And Yao getting dunked on or close to being dunked on is always going to be a highlight.. that's what people [outside of houston] want to see. You always see the highlights when someone dunks on Shaq. It's not a bias. It's what people want to see.

Just watched sportscenter highlights. Announcer showed Manu dunk and said "Yao is morphing to Sean Bradley right before our eyes". WTF!!!

They can tilt the angle no matter what. It does not cause Yao to score 1 less point or block 1 less shot. All true NBA fans know that nowadays Yao is developing into a MDP type player and that's all Houston fans need to care about.

I was so proud of the effort today

If we play as hard as we did today we can stay in this thing and maybe even get that eight spot!

If we don't make it in but give this same effort I will be proud of the guys for never giving up on this season where almost everything has gone wrong.

I know it sucks with all the preseason expectations but, this will only make us stronger if we can stay mentaly tough and finish strong playoffs or lottery.

You are right. I want to add my 2cents. Losing on purpose cultivates losers' mentality. If you still have Yao playing, you can not do that. People always refers the Spur season, but no significance piece of their later championship team were playing, weren't they? Tank the season hurts Yao's development big time! No! No! No!

    I tell ya something sad...

Yao Ming was the player of the game!

    He outscored everybody...
    tied Duncan for most rebounds...
had the most blocks of anyone in the game...
had a better shooting percentage than any other player who had > 10 shot attempts...
    got another double-double...
and was perfect from the freethrow line.

....and all we see is the Spurs dunking on him. Sad.
