Agreed. The fact Yao threw a 25/10 on the Spurs after three straight 30/10 games very impressive. Way to go big guy!

Consolation prize. Lakers lost. Kobe sucked. ABC got their ass handed back to them with their decision to drop Rockets game in most of the viewing area around the country.

the only 5 game wining streak was on that road trip early in the season.

Ever since then we get to 3 and 4..then lose 1. then win 3 or 4 then lose again.

A gutsy effort, I appreciated the guys playing as hard as they did. Talk about outgunned. The Spurs have All-Stars coming off the bench. To make this close and to still have a chance in the closing seconds was admirable. But the effort was largely based on heart instead of talent.

Brunson probably had a "career" effort, but he did well. Ming looked gassed in the second half, but continued his strong play of late. Howard forgot to show up. A few critical threes at the end by Head and Bogans. Alston had a decent game offensively. Defensively he has a hard time.

The Rockets might as well "let her rip" from here on out; play hard, play cool.

The problem is that Rox management have no guts to lose the rest of the games for the season.

The PF problem can be easily fixed by losing all the rest of the games, grabbing the #1 draft pick and pick LaMarcus Aldridge as our future PF.

Even if Rox does not pick Aldridge, they can trade that #1 pick for Wilcox and Seattle's #1 pick or trade with other teams.

The Rox certainly has options, it is just that they don't want to explore that option!!!

The Rox need a shooter much more than a PF. Swift is at least decent, and if he takes over as the starter next year than PF is in passable shape. But, the team is desperate for consistent shooting.

After watching the Duke game today, I couldn't help but think of JJ knocking down all the open looks that our guards miss.

The only thing that is "obvious" is that if the Rockets lost every single remaining game on purpose (which would lose them the respect of all Rockets fans and the entire NBA), they still wouldn't know what pick they would have in the first round. It's called the draft lottery, if you haven't heard of it before.

I'm glad that Yao hit his jumpers but did he score on any jumphooks or dunks today?

    Incoming.....

    I am Ryan Bowen,
but you can call me Rybo,
put me in the game right away,
if you want to go psycho.

Jeff Van Gundy thinks I like to hustle,
Fans love it when I get into tustle,
I wave my arms around like a headless chicken,
but my game does leave the rox fans completely pain-stricken.

What say you!?!? Make an open shot?!
Are you crazy? Are your eyes bloodshot?!
My mama never gave me a jump shot.
She gave me a goofy face,
JVG thinks I am ****in hot!

I will let you on a little secret,
Guard it like I guard Dirk the idiot.
If you gave me a nuke in the middle of Moscow,
i would miss Russia by two planets and take a big @ss bow.

So what? use your imagination. If Rox can grab that #1 pick, they can pick Aldridge and then trade Swift for a shooter. Swift has values on the open market. There are numerous possibilities. The key is to grab one of the top 3 picks.

I have no confidence in CD/JVG making a good pick out of top 5. There is no evidence whatsoever that CD/JVG can make a good pick out of top 5. From the history, draft picks by CD outside top 5 are almost all busts.

This season is gone. The Rox management job should be to prepare for the next season. From this year's experience on FA signing, there is no evidence that CD can get the job done through FA signing. The draft pick is the way to go.
