Ugh, this is getting ridiculous. The Rockets need to just stop doubling Tim Duncan. Let an injured Tim Duncan beat us, if he can. We can't keep giving their other guys open threes and layups. Hayes is a very solid low post defender and rebounder. I'd say that's just what we need right now. But I know better then to expect JVG to put him in.
Rockets need to stop doubling Duncan out on the perimeter, he hasn't done squat against single coverage so need to double him and leave Urdith under the basket wide open.
Win or lose, great effort. What killed us was the boneheaded shots and lax defense to start the 3rd quarter. I'm proud of 'em.
Big shots down the stretch against Indy. He played solid defense against Garnett vs. Minnesota Double-double vs. Portland Came up HUGE in the 4th quarter against Golden St.... had 22 points. Those are 4 out of our 7 wins since the ASB that he has been a solid contributer. I also remember last year (where he did play on a winning team) that he came into his own and was playing some great ball before his heart condition. Had he been available for the playoffs, the series against the Mavs would have been another story. He's not good enough to be a starting 4 for a championship team... but compared to what else we have to choose from, he's doing the best he can right now. I'm just sick of every single loss being blamed on him... its ludicrous. He is NOT the star player, is NOT ever in the position to carry the team, and he's often going to look mediocre against the PF-heavy West. I would just like more creativity in some of the posters, instead of the same ol s*** about how Juwon sucks.
