Lol. I never said we don’t take any 3s.
I said we don’t have to take all 3s. Mid range shots is necessary.

That defense was straight ****. Silas must get that under control before the bad habits become ingrained in the young guys. It simply can’t be tolerated. The lack of defense is absolutely appalling.

    It's really, really not.

Doing something stupid is not the only alternative to taking 3's. There are several smart shot types, you look for one of them. Taking the worst shot in basketball is a failure every time you settle for it.

Okay, first off kid, THEY DO and IT HAS.

Literally everyone plays the game this way now for a reason. You have a couple of dumb players like Westbrook who still take a ton of garbage mid-range BS, and a few others like Chris Paul who are actually good enough at it to justify taking them. Everyone else looks to take smart shots from the FT line, the paint, or beyond the arc.

All this but still what's happening is abnormal. It's super standard that an important rookie plays garbage time.

I don't care about Nwaba getting minutes or Brooks. They are JAGs. It's not about JC getting more minutes, Green could have ended the game then.

But Green never gets garbage time minutes because Silas (or the team) doesn't let him. It's a mistake. I think there's a reason that every other important rookie plays as many minutes as possible because it helps the player in the end.

I've always been frustrated that we seem to "save" JG for our inevitable play-in run (LOL).

I'm particularly pissed off today because i put some money on JG getting 17.5+ (PTS+AST) and he had 12PTS,3AST after 3Qs.

Silass is now not only messing with my mood but also my money.

Looking at the stats for this game....

Green wasn't THAT bad...He could've shot better overall, but he shot the three well, had some assists and got to the line a couple times. And he only played 23 mins which is ridic.

And the on defense the spurs Guards wasn't what killed us...It was their bigs and forwards...

Yup. He wasn't bad at all and right now seems like the only defender capable of staying in front of his man. His man to man defense has actually been legit.
It's his team defense and rotations that suck. It's not helping that nobody has a clue what they're doing anyway.

He had 3 assists in the first 3 minutes of the game. He had 5/1/3 in the first 4 minutes or so. He looked like he was going to have a big game then the team forgot about him and everyone else started looking to get their own. Jalen is too unselfish but there’s zero effort to keep him involved.

Yea i was like "fk yeah easy money" but it just had to end that way.

the problem is that this team is full of selfish mother****ers that want to get theirs. 2 posessions without wood shooting it and he will make it an emphasis to bring the ball up the court and post up on someone.
The same has been the case with Tate recently, he's taking the ball full court and posting up. It's ugly basketball and honestly quite disgusting the way we play. If individuals end up having good games and guys like Matthews that usually end up with the ball after one of those failed post up attempts, have good shooting games, we end up winning some games which we have done. But most of the time we get ****ed because we play like this.

I'm convinced, and nobody can change my mind on this, that Mobley wouldn't look nearly as good on the Rockets as he does on the Cavs. Not only do they make it an emphasis to get him the ball enough, but they also make sure to feed him a ton of easy buckets.
Green haters will say that I'm delusional but nobody can change my mind about this. If we had EM right now and the Cavs had JG, the ROY race would be a lot more open right now.
