taking Yao out with 4:26 left in the first quarter is going to bite the Rockets in the ass later. Why does Gundy also do this when Yao makes consecutive baskets? What a basketball genius.
You might as well post this for every game, cause that's what he'll be doing EVERY TIME. It's called a rotation. And, if you watch these games, you'll see that Yao needs the breather around that time anyways. Games aren't won/lost in the 1st quarter either. I'll take Yao with some more stamina in the 4th quarter (and three overtimes), rather than him playing an entire 1st quarter with no break... no matter how hot he his.
I'd rather keep him in there until 3:00 left like he ususally does, not with almost 5 minutes left like he did last time against the Mavs when they LOST.
Or against the Hawks, which they won.... or against the Magic, where he scored his previous career high... or against the Lakers where he dominated the fourth. Mo-T is always ready to check in around 4-5 minutes. It sometimes gets down to three, if there's no break in the action. It also depends on how physical Yao gets in the game... cause the more they push him around, the faster he'll need the breather.
Nothing dramatic. I didn't see a good angle, could have been a foul. Duncan came over as Yao was driving from the baseline, and caught it from the side.
Damn where is the no.1 defense I've been so used to seeing. Last few games, it seems our defense has disappeared. Spurs are shooting over 50%!
