How many pre-judged negative threads will we see about the Rockets before they play their next game? I'm guessing 4
I wonder how many trade for Spurs player threads there will be. Maybe this time - not many. Turkoglu will get a thread, though.
If Yao finally becomes a man against Duncan and Rasho then then the Rockets have a chance. If Yao continues to play like a pussie and Van gundy continues to force the ball in and Yao takes 15-20 shots then they will get blown out by 20 or more pts.
Thinking positive... perhaps last night will bond the team. They faced a bad luck challenge together ... and prevailed with grit and aggression. Perhaps we will see more trust and teamwork, and they will pick the spurs apart. Maybe they'll learn to fight down low when they get tired.
Well, there's bad news and good news: The bad news: Rockets get beat down by double digits The good news: The Rockets don't have to play the Spurs again this season!
Well, I am already looking past the next several games and have my eyes locked on Yao:Shaq V on March 3rd. This will be another great game that matches the two best centers in the league. Shaq daddy is gonna go nuts and drop 28-10 on the Rockets. However, Shaq's daddy is gonna show the league who the new boss is by going 37-12 and outplaying Shaq daddy and leaves the audience wondering "Shaq Who?". Kobe is going to slide over for 33 and show the world why he is the next marquee player for the Lakers, but he is neutralized by SF3 and Cat who combines for 43 points between them. And the Rockets take a thrilling victory 99-95 with Shaq's daddy dropping 14 in the 4th vs. Shaq daddy's 9.
Great, another Steve-lover/Yao-hater in the mix. In the last Spurs/Rox game Yao had 25 points on 11-16 shooting. I guess that's a 'pussie' to you.
Yao was man enough in last meeting against the Spurs by dropping 25 on 11-16 shooting and essentially neutralized TD. It was our starting guards that went 11-30 from the field that sank the Rockets.
That seems to be the theme for this season. You can't mix high volume shooters with poor passing skills with a consistent low post threat. We've seen the results for 55 games now, and it ain't pretty.
I predicted a 37 point win over the Hawks, and a 38 point loss to the Spurs. Since the Hawks game was a tad closer, I'm going to change my San Antonio prediction. Rockets: 88 Spurs: 87 Then they lose by 18 to the Cavs.
Hope Yao can walk through the SBC center on Tuesday, but the Wednesday game is more important for us. If Yao use up the tank in the Spur game, we may still lose the game, then he has nothing left for the next game, what will be for the Cavaliers game?
We have no chance...zero!! I still can't figure out how the hell it took them three OTs to beat a team that's built to lose.
