did mo have money on the spurs tonight? that was one of the most pathetic games i've ever seen from him. missing shots, turning it over like crazy, blowing layups, not getting rebounds. my god.

does gino have to have his best game ever against us everytime? he seems to wait for us to learn to hit every 3 he takes and knock down every crazy layup he takes.

and then the spurs of course makes their ft's which they never do.

and then as usual the refs kill us. mobley getting called for a charge on charlie ward may have been one of the worst calls i've ever seen. ward moves the entire time to stay in front of mobley who is practically going sideways by the end and they still give him the charge.

and how did our guards freeze out yao? when he got position he seemed to get it. from about the mid-3rd to mid-4th he wasn't getting position like in the first half (the spurs announcers even mentioned they let yao have things too easy in the 1st half and were making him earn things now, and usually announcers have no problem ripping our guards for not passing to yao).

it was just a pathetic offensive showing for a long time combined with the spurs shooting much better than normal and the refs hating us that killed us.

    oh, and mo taylor.

edit: so i checked the box score. steve took less shots than normal (12) and i think mobley took his average (11). yao had 16 shots, passing the magical 15 number. hell, francis even outrebounded yao and mobley contributed 7 assists (though with 5 turovers, although two were on absolutely terrible offensive foul calls- the manu flop and ward blocking foul). somehow our shooting less than normal backcourt are the problem while we're staring down the barrel of mo going 3-14 and turning it over 4 times. if blame has to be passed out for a very predictable loss to SA in SA, then put it on mo b/c that's where it belongs. and the fact all our pf's suck ass on perimeter D and mobility.

The Spurs did what they do to everyone; held us down to a low shooting percentage. Thats the game. Turnovers were even, the ROX even led in points off turnovers.

    Mobley and Taylor were 7-25.
Duncan and Rasho had 22 rebounds. Cato, Yao, and Taylor had 14.

Didn't watch the game. Was it because yao was too tired to get into position, or our guards just igored him?

This is one of the dumbest team I;ve ever witness. I mean we got a bunch of stupid players. What idiotic team who doesn't take advantage of Yao who's been totally hot of lately? This is what I call not a team game but greedy players and they know who they are.

Yao should at least get 20 shots every night.
He must be the first OFFENCE option!!!
"During the crucial stretch of the first 6 minutes of the 4th quarter (when the game was basically decided), Yao barely touched the ball."
Did u watch the game, yao is pissed off,he just want out!
    What a shame!Rockets!

The guy is not Antonio Davis. He shouldn't have to be getting shots off offensive boards.

I am not sure whether you guys watched the same game. The Rockets played good ball for the first 3 quarters, and was phenomenal from the late 2rd quarter to late 3rd quarter. JVG was dumb to not insert Yao in earlier to kill all the Rockets momentum.

I guess that we lost the game because we don't have legs. And the officiating tonight was horrible.

The guards certainly was dumb enough in the 4th in believing that they could have brought Rockets back into the game. When they decided to go to yao no matter what, it was too late.

However, Yao also needs to be more aggressive in taking the outside shots. At the end of 3rd Q, MJ was looking for Yao and Yao was hesitating in taking that 18 footer, thus a miss. Earlier he should have taken that 16 footer from the left court but decided to pass to JJ for a miss.

Yao needs to get mad earlier and try to take over the game. He should learn from TD to be man enough to be responsible in the 4th quarter. Sure TD is a better rebounder than Yao, but Yao has a much better shooting touch than TD.

And it also did not help that the Spurs got every offensive rebound in the 4th quarter and we did not have legs for more.

Have to say Mo Taylor is a pathetic player. I mean when he gets the ball, you usually will not get it back. I dont think he knows anything about getting the ball back out.

To be fair with Yao, he goes up for blocks way too many times and lots of times the opposing centers are able to steal the offensive boards.

BTW, Rasho who? was 1-7 from the field and he and TD let Yao go for 10-16 from the field. Containg Yao? I don't think so.

Steve Kerr was very complimentary to Yao the whole game. Called him one of the best players in the league.

Also thinks that the Rockets will be a much better team if they use SF3's athletic ability at 2. He loves Eric Snow to run the point for the Rockets.

Piatkowski needs to play more from now on. I'm getting tired of seeing the numerous bricks from the perimeter. Pike seems to be getting his shot back.

Mo and Cato sucks tonight. Combined for 3-17 from the field and Mo was also guilty for 4 TOs.

It was interesting that Yao had 0 TO and SF only had 2 tonight.
