JVG sucks.it is not all of guard's fault.they dont give yao the ball. When yao is killing the spurs, suddenly,we freeze yao out!!!!! I hate JVG more.
I can't believe Spurs is so crap. oh, a chap team is raised by refs. impressive! MVP? what a joke. Anyone can win MVP if refs give you every call. Maybe the rule is: if your FT% is low, give you the call. otherwise, no.
The Rockets desperately needed a point guard who could shoot the jumper. Heck...the Rockets got Matt Maloney from the CBA a while back. There must be a white guy out there who is good at shooting 3s. Matt Bullard is waiting next to the phone.
By "touches" i hope you mean "SHOTS" because the rockets aren't going to win with Francis, Mobley, and Yao taking equal shots in a game. That's been proven time and time again.
Are you serious?? I think Manu had a big hand in it, so did parker and duncan. Spurs just imposed their will on the Rockets
Yao already got more shot he suppose to get, what you guys complain about? "Me, Steve, J can get 20 points any night"
oh well no need to get upset/mad. we should lose the game, but all the TOs, same damned things over and over - make it hard to be hopeful
I don't understand why Jeff doesn't have a larger rotation. When we need offense, we need to resort to Padgett. Not a great defender, but he can shoot pretty well. BLEH
He didn't start getting touches to shoot the ball til the game was already a blowout and the Rockets had no chance to make a comeback. They just neglected him as a first scoring option til the game was too far out of reach. He wasn't just making his shots. He was making his shots with ****ing ease.
I think jeff is keeping this lineup the same that way in the off season the team will be more agreeable to a big trade. This offseason Either MO or Cato will be traded. Steve WILL be traded and they will most likely get less talent back but they will be smarter players. This will translate to a higher record because Jeff wants a half court team so he will bring in players that fit his system more. I could see us making a run at a boozer type of PF and a PG in a snow type of player
Note the difference between the Rockets and Spurs: when the Spurs need a bucket, they force-feed Duncan. They have an identity, they know what they want to do first and foremost. Go to Duncan first, then as the possession evolves perhaps the shot winds up elsewhere, an open 3 or a drive down the lane, etc; but the effort is always to give it to Duncan FIRST, and of course he often comes through and hits the big baskets. Contrast that with the Rockets: during the crucial stretch of the first 6 minutes of the 4th quarter (when the game was basically decided), Yao barely touched the ball. Everyone else was scrambling around, looking for their own shots, and usually ending up with bad shots, or in turnovers. You can say they lost their composure, but really, the problem is that they have no identity as of yet. What are the Rockets when they DO play with composure? Are they a team that looks for Yao first and foremost? Sadly, not yet, and so you can't really blame them for "losing composure" because they never really had a "composure" to adhere to in the first place.
