Mutombo has been doing his job.
All others were crappy tonight, even the smart boy Barry.

I still don't get it why JVG need all those old knicks who are nothing anywhere else.
What's his motive to do so?

Remember the MJ's second Bulls team, wasn't there a game where the bench got 0 pts, 0 rebs, and 0 ast and the Bulls still won?

I just got back from San Antonio, where I got to see sit on the 24th row "on the 50 yard line," as my brother-in-law describes his season tickets. Terrific seats. Yes, Yao is big. Yes, Van Gundy is a shrimp. Yes, Mo Taylor looked like someone waiting to be traded. And yes, I HOPE IT'S FOR A ****ING POINT GUARD!!

DEAR GOD IN HEAVEN... SAVE US FROM ROD STRICKLAND!!!
    (and I'm agnostic)

I just drove 75 miles, picked up the LCD off the floor (painting the study), and plugged the ****ing computer in just to get that off my chest.

    Thank you.

Oh, and Van Gundy is a ****ing idiot for playing Strickland for more than 5 minutes. I would rather have seen Clutch the Bear handling the ball. I guess he was ineligible, to be fair. (insert rolleyes here)

Your stiff Yao made 9 of 13 shots in a game where no other Rocket did anything close to that.

Calm down people. We lost to the best team in their home court, on the second night of a back to back. We had our starting pg in injury. A loss is not unacceptable. Remember, we beat them twice at our home court too. What do Spurs fans think after those two losses? We still have one more try.

No team can go 82-0. We won't win a Championship this season, but by the look of things, we will be a contender within two years.

its relieving to see the game thread is back in prime form after a game where half of you were calling it a loss before it ever started

oh yea...and thuglove...why dont you go punch yourself for a while instead of subjecting us to your crap?

welcome to my IL...say hi to Yetti for me while you're there.

Tmac struggles in just couple games recently? Let see how many good shooting game he has, dating back from the most recent games. As you can see, bricks after bricks.

    ACTUAL FG%

    2/23/05: 7/21 FG
    2/22/05: 7/18 FG
2/15/05: 14/22 FG (against the worst defensive FG% in the NBA)
    2/13/05: 6/19 FG
    2/11/05: 5/16 FG
    2/9/05: 7/17 FG
    2/6/05: 8/24 FG
    2/4/05: 11/26 FG
    2/2/05: 10/21 FG
    1/31/05: 5/14 FG
    1/30/05: 10/26 FG
    1/28/05: 11/30 FG

i just watched my recording of this game. i thought the boys hung in there well but without sura it was hopeless when pressure was put on in the fourth. one thing for sure TONY PARKER AND HIS SMUG LITTLE SMILE CAN GO F#$K HIMSELF. seriously i dislike this guy almost as much as kobe and pau, i look like i'm gonna cry after every foul, gasol.
despite these 2 losses, one completely taken away by the refs and then this loss, i tihnk this team with sura can beat ANY team in the playoffs. i truly believe they can win it all right now. i'm buying it.

There has to be a better pg than Rod Strickland somewhere in this world that can be signed.

Rod Strickland and Barrett would not be in the league if we weren't paying them money.

Even though we lost the last 2 games, I'm encouraged.

We should've won the SEA game, and we were in the SAS game through 3 quarters of play - - - at their home! I'm really encouraged.

i hope we land a real defensive powerforward with shooting range this summer..it's our only hope against keepin Yao outta foul trouble, amongst other things.

a young , pass first, point guard with a good AST/TO ratio is our other need.

Fill the rest with good role players and a good bench mob and we'll be contenders baby!

    CD get it done !

strickland really shouldn't play. i've never seen any nba player struggle to catch his breath after 7, 8 min playing. on the court, he looked terrible. while on the bench... he looked like he needed an oxygen mask.

I haven't read every page, but I can tell you this with certainity; if Sura had played in the last two games, the Rockets are 10-0. That is how critical he is to this team. His toughness alone makes a huge difference. Four against five (and at times, three against five) won't win many games at any level. If I were the Spurs I would not want to meet the Rockets at full strength especially in the playoffs. I am more convinced than ever that this team can take the Spurs in seven.

Please, Please JVG, never play Strickland again. For the love of God, spare the fans of this horrible travesty against basketball. And Barrett has turned into another "little dribbler." We have had our share of those in the past. Please stop.

I just wanted to say I was proud of the way the Rockets played. Sure, they lost, but they left it all out on the court. They never stopped fighting. I also agree that had Bobby Sura been healthy we'd be 10-0. I hope the rockets pull off a move for a point guard because Strickland and Barrett are terrible.
