I am more PO'd the more I reflect upon the farce that was the cheating refs tonight. That charge call where Kyle was tripped and ran into a Spur INSIDE the charge semicircle while throwing up a shot was too bad to be mere incompetence. The league shouldn't review these refs-- the FBI should. Is the NBA trying to present entertainment like pro wrestling, featuring incredible athletes in rigged performances?
Martin did what he supposed to do, he's been the constant the last stretch of games. Our other players need to step up, since their defense clamped down on him, preventing him from getting the ball. Lowry is to become a real question mark. Scola folds ALOT down the stretch.
Ohhh, so they only lost a FIFTEEN point lead when he was in there, well that makes it perfectly fine and Scola shares no blame. It's not like salvaging more of the lead could have possibly won the game for Houston at the end, right? Phew, thanks for pointing it out. Next game they should skip the first 3 quarters and just show up "when it matters".
So the only 2 guys with +/- above zero were Chase and Chandler and neither played much in the 2nd half. DD
To be fair we did "show up when it matters." Ppat hit huge shots, kmart got the and one, lowry hit the big threes. Too bad sterns group outplayed us
Not overly, I just wish he would play more in the post and punish the defender down low and try to get the other teams bigs in foul trouble.
Enough bad calls to swing the momentum, easily... Rockets were still in it until that bogus charge call, with how many minutes left in the game? Under 3?? Ridiculous...
Lowry is in a serious funk. Beginning to think he wont bounce back anytime soon. Courtney Lee needs to go. I'll take Martin jumpers all day over his. Lee just loves to shy away from contact and takes mostly jumpers. I'd take a J Rich or JR Smith over him. This Lee guy has given me a bad vibe since that blown layup in Orlando. He simply chokes during crunch time. I'll give him credit for that one play he made against SA last year but it was a fluke at most.
Reporter: Well coach it was a hard fought game, what do you have to do next game to pull out a win? McHale: We have to play hard..wait much more than hard hmm harderer yeah! much harderer than the hardedest we've played so far.
Lowry went 1/6 from the 3pt line tonight, hardly hitting "the big threes" On the plus side though, his 42% shooting on the night actually raised his season average.
