The rockets should have uglied the game up in response to the Refs by spilling some blood and stirring **** up. Make it an absolute nightmare for the refs to officiate, as they in turn were doing for the rockets to play.
You clearly didn't read my post, I didn't mention anything about the Spurs' player moving because I don't think he was (at least not significantly). He was not squarely in front of Courtney when the contact occurred, that should result in a blocking foul. Like I said, even without the bad call it was a crappy decision by Lee.
Good post, i dont used to blame refs, but tonight was a steal And Popovich blame the refs. Please Pop have some respect
And it's a good thing Scola told everyone else BUT HIMSELF to shut up and play. Great example tonight, my friend from Argentina... 5 TO, 3 Reb, 0 asst, 0 FT, 2-7 Fg
Can someone please explain why Popavich was allowed to curse out the refs for a full 10 seconds without a technical foul being called? Just asking.
McHale is a wuss. He has way too much respect for the refs and that is not going to cut it in this league. Trade Luis or don't play him at all. At this stage, he is contributing negatively.
We lost the game in the third off of Duncans scoring, why wasn't an adjustment made to stop him from scoring over and over.
Duncan just ate us up inside, 9 of his 12 shots were inside the FT box. We lost big time with no offensive punch on the inside, but the FT attempts for the Rockets is a farce with Spurs having 31 attempts over 13. We need to really work on the inside game on offense and on defense.
Players and coaches will talk about it in the media again. "Well, we should have made adjustments. We needed to make adjustments but we didn't." blah blah blah
What about the lowry charge call. If what you are saying is true, why don't they change the rule. Refs are supposed to follow the rulebook right? If the rule says that you have to be stationary, squared up, then you have to be. It just is that way. They need to fire that "young ref" or send him to the d league to officiate. Scrub. That whole officiating crew needs to go
Because the refs weren't going to make it a closer game at that point, technically they screwed up by not paying attention. If they called a T and gave us a point Pop would have caused a scene, just not good publicity. Let the game play out on it's own.
Well in all seriousness the problem with our team is McHale is a dragon.. I know what you are probably thinking once you first reading this... And YES, before you start hating, I am informed that dragons haven't shown themselves to mankind sense nearly the 1920's during the flapper's era. But seriously men its time to address the facts. 1) McHale is larger and weighs more than the average man. 2) He has questionable coaching mistakes.. (It is because he thinks like a dragon and not a human). 3) If you notice at almost all times he is sitting (as some naive fools would think) or as a true dragoncologist would know.. He is actually "perched" so he can't move without exposing his dangerous dragon under quarters. 4) He has an extreme phobia of swords I hope we can seriously handle this issue before its too late.
Whenever the Rockets go on spurts good teams adjust and try to shut down the scorer who is carrying the Rockets. Whenever an opposing player goes on a scoring binge the Rockets don't adjust to try to slow the player down. Tonight in the third Duncan kept going one on one on smaller players and that changed the whole game. McHale should have double teamed as he put the ball on the floor. We called time out and came out of time outs without looking like we had a set play. In fourth Parker and Neal penetrated and destroyed the defense. On offense we did a lot of one and one, McHale needs to tell Lowry to penetrate more because it leads to wide open shots. The third and fourth quarter were poorly coached, but McHale is inexperienced so there will be a learning curve.
That game was a prime example of where lowry should have took the ball and violently thrown it at the official. That battery charge would make us all proud
