He played from 1998 to 2001 in the Italian league. Last time I checked, Italy is in Europe.

His votes are blind votes - the way he is playing as a point guard does not deserve a place in the All-Star team. A point guard who only strives to dribble and put up bricks is to become an All-Star? It's a joke.

Also, I prefer Yao not be voted to the All-Star team. First, he is not yet qualified - he is no match with Shaq, at least for this year. Second, he really needs time to rest. If he continues playing 82 games plus his commitment games for China, he'd be burnt out in 2-3 years' time. I don't want to see him taking an early retirement from the NBA.

I WAS talking about his offensive moves in my previous posts and you jumped on me. I never said he shouldnt go inside most of the time and be aggressive. I just dont think having him banging inside all day is the best way to develop his aggressiveness. You need to let him use his other talents to score some points to build up his confidence, not to mention that will also improve the offensive flow of our game. I want him to play like Brad Miller, like Divac, like Smit, like Kareem, but not like Shaq because he can't. Please cut Yao so slack. This is only his second year here and he is still trying to learn to play aggressively. Despite his great height, the kid cant jump "quick". His lateral movement is subpar. It is hard to go inside and just be aggressive, unless Yao just literally run over people

good idea. Except Jazz and Kings offense is a pass offense, and steve and cat are incable of passing.

    ROFLMAO!!!!! [IMG]

Obviously you have never seen Animal House.

That was the speech that Bluto(John Belushi) gave to his frat brothers when they got kicked off of campus. Except substitute the the names of their on-campus nemesis in place of the Spurs names.

    Man o Man...talk about an over-reaction.

Steve says he's gonna leave the refs alone. And then what does he do the next game? Gets a T for a no-call.

Throws the ball down the court when he's frustrated.

When Steve got mad, his game fell to pieces. He decided to take it all on himself. The team wasn't jelling, so he's gotta do it all.

Kelvin Cato, still jawing at the refs.

No leadership on the floor, poor shooting.

I only say this because I will always be a Rockets fan, but I am tired of this, and someone needs to admit that this team will not go anywhere. Even if we squeak into the playoffs, this team is not made for the long haul.

Cato + Boki for Eric Williams and Tony Battie. Francis? I don't know, but he'll fetch a nice haul. Get him to a team that can freelance. I am sick of him. Sick of him.

See, Rox has some decent shooter, JJ, Pike, Cat, but they definitely need somebody to creat some decent shots for them.

The only game this season SF played calm and dished the ball well was the game against Pistons. When he get frustrated or outplayed by oppenents PG, our point guard turns instantly into a shooting guard, like JVG said, everytime he want to hit a homerun. He can't control the game flow, sometime he can't even control himself.

Tony Parker got only two double double this year, all against Francis. Tonight he had 14pts and 12 Asts , that is what PG should do.

Move SF to 2 and trade Cat, No Way, Cat is much stable shooter than Francis and he is an unbelieveable bargain for his payroll. Besides Franics is too small to be a SG.

I believe more and more Francis will be traded first, his number is way down, his IQ never be higher and he get Max contract. If this year Rox still can't make the playoff, it will be his fifth year without playing a single playoff game. I don't want see that happen.

Interesting, what did JVG mean when he said he need rebuild the foundation of our team?

An overhaul of the starting lineup? A big trade?

    Hmmm, I wish both.

I have a serious suggestion. We should all stand up tall, look in a mirror, and ask ourselves why we are watching these Bozo's. Tonight, JVG said that the Rockets "must rebuild the foundation of the team." I couldn't agree more.

I am proposing a new fan arrangement, I believe the Rockets SHOULD PAY US to watch this team. I am thinking of something in the $25 to $50 range. Seriously, 8-pt. quarters, 30% shooting, two All Stars (?) who can't find thier butts with both hands.

Seriously people, why are we watching this stuff. As promised, I have decided to take a break. Until the Rockets make major personnel adjustments, this team IMO is officially unwatchable. As to Steve Francis, perhaps the most overrated player ever, some of you are near delusional about this guy. I don't know why, but enjoy. I won't be watching him play (if you can call it that) along with you. This is Solid signing off until there is a very different line-up on the floor. I love the Rockets, basketball, and my mental health far to much to watch the game played at this level. BYE BYE

That's the only way to beat the Lakers and Spurs. Play with extreme efficiency on offense like the Kings and Mavs. Trying to go dominant player against dominant player doesn't work against the Lakers and Spurs. Shaq and Duncan are in their own category. Trying to make Yao into a Shaq or Duncan is just plain futile. Rockets arguably have better defense than both the Kings and the Mavs. Is it an impossible task to have the Rockets look like the Kings? They don't even need to be as offensively efficient as the Jazz or the Kings. Can they be just similar? It's gotta be better than the garbage that has been playing on the court the past two games. Football has a Wunderlich test. Rockets need to give that test to every single player before he ever signs a contract for more than 2 years.

If the Rockets can't incorporate this offense because of the lack of passing skills, they need to dump the roster and start over.

Seriously, Yao and SF don't deserve to be the ALL-STAR. They were selected last year because of their popularity.

If this year they still start, it will be somewhat embarrassing.

Yao is still one of the top 5 Center in the league because of the postion weakness. Steve Francis is not even close in term of point guard position. He has the near worst TO/Ast ratio in the league.

Sit down, relax and see how true ALL-STAR play the game.

I have League Pass, and I usually find myself watching other games when the Rockets are playing. I love Kirk Hinrich from the Bulls, a real nice point guard, and Chris Bosh from the Raptors, a real nice postman. It's hard to believe that those two are rookies. They are playing with intelligence that far surpasses the Rockets level of play.

    From Clutch's recap:
Uh Clutch aren't "average" and "mediocre" the same thing?

Lets call the offense what it is,
    BAD.

    I'm in.

I'm tired of trying to explain to my daughter why the game looks so horrible. She was starting to really enjoy the game. Now... ugh.

It's absolute torture. It's criminal to televise that garbage.
