Interesting view. Why isn't speed not posted (like 40 yds in football)in draftexpress? Is it possible that sprint speed is not a trait that gives you a huge advantage in bball?

Just got to watch the 2nd half, wow! What a finish.

Rockets stalled out but won on D. How many times has that happened?

Refs were awful in that game and the rockets persevered, how many times has THAT happened recently?

Harden is much more demonstrative this year. Idk if it's totally good but the team seems to respond to it. He wants to win.

Outside of the first game, they're relying a lot on one guy in Kawhi. He's been a beast, but he's taking a ton of his shots in isolation. He's playing like prime Kobe, but that's not Spurs basketball. I know, only eight games but they look fundamentally different.

Parsons guards the best perimeter player on the opposing team when he was in Houston for a reason. He logged the most distance that '13-'14 season out of any player. He was the only player that could consistently cut and get dunks at the rim as well as on fast breaks. Parsons and Lin weren't that bad.. Harden playing coach on that last crucial possession against Portland screwed things up.

He played within the team, but you could go by him. I'll give you guarding points, he is well documented as the guy that could guard a point, but he wasn't checking Bird. He left players like that to Scottie because Scottie could guard them wherever they wanted to go. Michael was a guy that put pressure on point guards, he was great at it, but once the ball got out of the point guard's hands, he started falling towards the mean. He gambled on defense and lost as many times, if not more, than he won. People were not scared of his defense, they were scared that if he got a steal, it was 2 guaranteed points. His offense created a mystique.

How does that equate to being fast. i will grant that parsons is way better than dekker but its not because of his speed

You or the style of basketball? Because one is narrow minded. (pick the style, you know it's true!)

Harden played 41 minutes (as did Ariza) and I suspect that it had a bit to do with both his play and his missed free throws at the end. I've been hoping that Harden and Ariza would see their minutes reduced this season. It would make both more effective, in my opinion - Harden on defense and Ariza on offense (more lift on his 3's). I hope this game is an outlier, driven by our rivalry with the Spurs.
