This turned out to be a big three by Dekker to answer Kawhi to end the half. Nothing like pissing off Popovich as he walks into the tunnel. This is a nice, quick release. Love the step off, too.
He trusts his teammates plenty, just not in crunch time. Should he pass more when it's late in the game? Probably depends on the hot hand and all that. Leonard ran out of gas and it was at the time the Spurs needed him most. MVP candidate? Still Kawhi, right? right? psssshhhh Parsons 4.5, 3.0, 1.0 Dekker 4.9, 3.4, 0.9 It's an upgrade. Parsons' body is in decline and has been for 4 years. He just doesn't hold up like he did pre-back injury. Bottom line, according to ESPN:

One thing to be certain , This guy will only get better from here on out !! Dekker and KJ can be Rookies of the Year candidates probably ! IMO Ryan Anderson is a great player and an asset of a PF for the Houston Rockets !!
Now that's one tough argument to win if you take Dekker. Parsons came in and turned himself into a defensive stopper. We beat Dallas a few times because Dirk couldn't do much on Chandler. But then CP decided to model and make basketball about offense and he's gotten worse ever since. Best year: rookie year. Ol' Dek is on his way up!!!
I said it before and I'll say it again, this is not your past few season's rockets team, and this is not your past few season's harden. This rockets team are a scrappy bunch of players and harden is leading them perfectly. This is probably the first rockets team since the battier/yao/tmac era that I could get behind. You guys have some grit in this team. People acting like y'all don't defend is false, y'all defend. Once dmo comes back, this is going to be a tough team to beat.
