I am surprised this game thread has not started to blow up already.

Anyone else going to the game?

 

Spurs is like a multilayer riddle, you can't just solve for 1 or 2 players. You have to solve for the entire team. They are like Rockets where anyone can have a huge game at anytime. The only difference is they have more chemistry and experience. It's going to be a tough match tonight.

 

I think we're gonna win.

is parker playing?

 

The Spurs are so damn disciplined on both offense and defense. This is the kind of team that will probably give the Rockets fits. The Rockets just can't afford to turn over the ball tonight. The Spurs are such a good passing team and they are deadly behind the 3 point line once they get you out of defensive position. Unfortunately the Rockets will have all the same issues with the Spurs shooters that they had with the Clippers shooters and JJ Reddick in particular.

This game will be a huge test on how far the Rockets have come since the shelved the TT experiment. If the Rockets can hold down on the turnovers, limit the Spurs offensive rebounds and hit their 3 point shots like they have been doing they have a legit chance to win this one.

Speaking of offensive rebounds, I don't expect the Spurs to be overly active on the offensive glass because Pops values getting his players back in back in transition more than he values offensive rebounds. The Spurs have great transition defense.

Another great test for Terrence Jones tonight!

The Spurs are the best off the ball team in the league. Their bigs set the best downside picks for their wing players to curl to the top of either side of the of the arc for open looks. Harden, Parsons and Bev need to fight through those picks to not allow the Italian sniper or Green get open looks because they are deadly.

 

Jeremy Lin and Greg Smith apparently going to be a Thunder! KD/Westbrook to Houston? Morey get it done.

 

uhh, that sucks if Tony Parker isn't playing. I want to play the Spurs at full strength.

 

James has to play big tonight on both ends.

There were some painful losses this month (Sixers, Lakers, Mavs). Taking this one in SA will make up for those. Come out firing and keep the intensity up the full 48! Go rockets!
