Yes... but he played the entire first, had zero fouls, and his still in there to start the second.

The YOF's will sleep well tonight.

I'd be amazed if we keep this game within 10 by halftime... I'll also say that if we're within 10 at halftime, we have a damn good shot of beating this Spurs team.

Man, this team should just start looking for different pieces already, because if the ultimate goal is to win IT ALL, then this supporting cast is NOT going to get us anywhere near beating the best in the West OR even the East.

Yao is being fronted by a Euro and he's taken out of his game, Howard too damn short and all the other guards are ENTIRELY dependent on McGrady's penetrate-and-dish game (and they require all day long to knock down a shot, and even then will miss most of them).

We might have a nice team by season's end, but a 'championship contender' as things stand now with our competition being what it is? It will take a real miracle.

Sorry to sound 'down', but I am really not, I am merely making as an objective analysis of our team as I possibly can.

BTW, what's up with the TOs that keep coming in multiples one after another? Isn't a "veteran" (i.e. old) team supposed to NOT make these types of mental mistakes?

Funny thing is, last season after losing to the Mavs, we saw CLEARLY what needed to be upgraded (a semblance of a PF: check, and most importantly a quick backcourt that won't get torched by the Spurs's backcourt, the Mavs' backcourt, the Pistons' backcourt, and almost everyone else's backcourt). My question is: have we made ANY real improvement in our backcourt speed? Can't y'all see that opposing guards are STILL torching our's?

Did Yao take some roids before the game? Where is the energy coming from? He's played 14 minutes in a row, and still has a bounce in his step.

I wish the Rox wouldn't fall for that stupid behind the back dribble from Manu Flopibili.

Our guards are unable to dribble and create at all. Wasn't Alston supposed to alleviate that?

We have zero perimeter creators when T-Mac is out the game.

Horry never really stopped him in 1995. Willis hurt the Rockets on the offensive end of the floor more than the defensive end in 97 and 98.

Jon Barry needs to bring some oil... the "machine" is a little rusty right now.

Actually, I'm impressed with the way we're "improving" (I put that in quotes because we're still not that good). But, I think like last year... this team needs more time to get used to the daily grind of NBA basketball, more time to run JVG's rather complicated offensive system, and more time to let their body's adjust to the max effort that JVG demands out of them on the defensive end...

They should be running on all cylinders by January. I wish it could happen sooner (and just like T-mac's back injury... they just might get it together before then), but for now... they're a chemistry project in-progress.
