Yao only took ONE shot in the entire 2nd half....ONE FRICKEN SHOT !!!

That is pathetic on the Rockets....they should have gotten him the ball more often.

He gets 16 shots in the first 2 guarters, and can't get any in the 2nd half...something is really F-ed up on this team.

I dont understant all these head advocates. Are you watching the same game I am watching. The kid is a rookie for crying out loud. He cant play point right now. As matter of fact, if ball is in his hand our offense stops. He cant start 2 guard either, because the opposing 2 will kill him. Coming off the bench is the best for him right now. Even that, you cant trust ball in his hands. But the kid only played 8 NBA games.

Seriously, why can't they just FORCE the dangol ball to YAO EVERY SINGLE TIME??? WHo cares if defense adjusts and WHO CARES if you get some turnovers in the process(not like the turnovers are low anyways)!

Atleast give him a touch on EVERY possession so that he can score or pass it out.

once again.....why won't they just FORCE THE DANGOL ROCK TO YAO even with quadruple coverage????

    Unbelievable

wtf is wrong with gundy? We have a game tomorrow. Seriously, jvg should have pulled yao out by the middle of the fourth. If we were going to win the game, we would win it by the perimeter players anyways, so might as well rest yao up.

He picked it up on the other end though (with regards to his play against duncan). I hope he's still got enough left to make an impact against Detroit.

Alston really needs to get his act together :-/ ...

I disagree...Just because he is a rookie does'nt have anything with starting or not starting. Okay, so you'd rather have No shooting, turnover prone,non-dribbling,straight from the streets, Alston starting ahead of a guy who played college, for a good team, that went to the final 4 last year, can score, and has proven that he can play..My point and every other Head fan on this board is plain and simple..Hes better than Alston. Why is everyone picking me tonight to reply about a topic that a 1,000 people are posting about :D

Yeah that's like an All-star front court defensively and offensively.

Makes you wonder how the Pistons were able to land all those solid pieces and the Rockets get some onesie twosie free-agents(who aren't bad at all, esp for the price) but still.......

I wonder if our current roster will come close to being solid in that mold.

Yao was definately doubled hard during the whole second half. I can't really think of another player that the spurs have had to double like that since Shaq. Unfortunately, we couldn't get too many good shots out of our ball movement after those doubles. The few looks we had were turned down by our guards.

However, just because he was doubled does not mean that we should stop going to him in one way or another. Try some pick and pop for god's sake. This offense is starting to get real old real fast. Alston is trying to play like a Charlie Ward, except he can't shoot. How does a guy shoot who shot 37 percent from 3 on a crappy Raptors team struggle so much on these WIDE OPEN looks? DA is the worst offender on passing up open 3's. He apparently doesn't think he can hit them, so he pumpfakes and throws up ugly 20 footers.

What makes it worse or scary, is the Spurs didnt have Finely or barry. . thats a really powerfull team. they along with the Pistons are miles ahead of the Competition.

3 of our starters combined for a whopping 8 points on 3-16 shooting, as long as that is happening, we won't win games.

Well back to my original point, why not Force it into YAO regardless of the coverage? Risking turnovers in that respect is not all that bad, since the rox commite turnovers anyways.

Yeah you want to talk about COMPLETE teams, you got the Spurs and Pistons representing each conference, period.

I was telling my buddy, that tomorrow night could be a blowout by the Pistons.

That team is red hot this year and they're offense seems to be better than last year.

Well Joe Dumars transformed a lottery bound team, into what we see today.also, if memory serves me right, Dice wanted to sign with the rox, but the Pistons offerd him more cash. oh well...

BTW, Saunders has kept the pistons defense at it's awesom rate, but has added more offense. over 7 game series, i cant even see the spurs beating the pistons. they are awesom. darko is finally starting to play somewhat upto his potential.

Well is the Rox management on track to the likes of Dumars and the Pistons?

By the way, I respect the Spurs and their organization(most respected over the past 6 years) and I wouldn't count them out against the pistons. Both teams are equally complete. It would really be the way the DANG'OL ball bounces between those 2 teams.

Had horry not hit that huge shot in game game 5 of the finals, everyone would be talking about the piostos back-to-back run. the spurs were tad lcky to win last season. i think the pistons are a better team then the one that lost to the spurs. thats why i think the extra added offense could be the deciding factor in my calculation.
