No kidding. Why does it seem like the rockets are always cursed with the inability to rebound?

And this weakness consequently leads to losses. Unbelievable

This performance is disappointing, but not unexpected. The Spurs have basically the same lineup with only two real changes (Van Exel and Finley). Meanwhile, for all intents and purposes, the Rockets lineup was blown up. We only have two starters from the latter half of last season (McGrady & Yao), an almost-new player in Juwan Howard, and two new players in Derek Anderson and Rafer Alston. Meanwhile, coming off the bench, the only familiar faces from the latter half of last season are Barry, Flyin' Ryan, Wesley, and Sex Machine. Then you have all the new players trying to not only get playing time, but also to mesh with the existing Rockets. With a reorganization of that degree, it's tough to expect them to pick up where they left off at the end of the previous regular season.

I'm still guardedly optimistic for this season. Luther is doing quite well, especially for a rookie. T-Mac, while not 100% at present, is still a superstar. Yao seems to be improving in minutes and fouls. Once the new additions start playing like teammates and not like tourists in Rockets uniforms, things will improve dramatically.

    In the meantime, I'll keep telling myself "6-11... 6-11... 6-11..." :p

I am amazed that McGrady can run up and down the court like that when he has such huge cajones. HE DA MAN!

Swift retreated to the paint and left Horry all alone.

I love Mcgrady. I don't care if we don't win another game this season. As long as this dude is on the team I'll support 'em.
